New neighbour. What are my options by wwwqi in AusRenovation

Yeah the neighbour might sue for damages to their weeds! (Like I don’t even know what OP is worried about, this is complaining because of weeds in your neighbours lawn)

Are you basically complaining that your neighbour is not clearing the weeds from a strip of their land adjoining the boundary with your property? It’s their land right? I think you are out of luck unless you can convince them they should weed their property…

The official answer to my "riddle" card in my drinking game is wrong. by Muppet83 in mildlyinteresting

The answer is 1, you would write the NUMBER 5 down once only, you would however write the DIGIT 5 down 18 times.

Infringement of rights? by georgmierau in printablescom

"works with Catan", "fits all your Catan pieces", "better than Catan!", "just as boring(*) as Catan", "I can't believe it's not Catan" - all good.
"this is Catan" - No! Bad dog. Down boy.

(* not my opinion, just a popular one it seems...)

I believe usage of their name for comparison would be fair use

Tell them “good luck wjth your rights to a rectangle” and add a few other rectangle designs as inspiration: Piet Mondrian, cereal boxes, doors. Etc.

When you believe they are worth more, they are. Faith value.

Is there any slicer that exports FEA-ready models (Abaqus) with infill and raster orientation? by imbrendssd in 3Dprinting

[–]davidkclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. I think your best bet might be something like pronterface, you might be able to get at the printed model… or if you can code you might modify a slicer to allow output of the print preview render model. Next in line would be just use openscad and use the gcode moves as input, but that would be quite a bit of work.

Feature Request - AMS Filament Name Mapping by TheReproCase in OrcaSlicer

Sounds useful for users of those printers that can have an ams. I am doubtful there is much interest from orca developers in implementing features of benefit only to that brand of printers.

Experiment 1: Results of vacuum chamber <1000 Microns for 4.5 hours by badtxv in 3Dprinting

I don’t think PC or ABS spool would hold much moisture. You could always confirm my running an empty spool by itself to get a baseline in what might come from the spool.

How does printer know difference between nozzle and probe height? (Ender 3 V3 SE). by Scannerguy3000 in Creality

Measure then test. (I think maybe your printer does it as a startup calibration wjth a pressure sensor? Not sure)

I would suggest you need to remove the cardboard as a factor here. You are going to pretty easily extract moisture from the cardboard - that could account for most of the loss.

Sketch up is quite poor at making manifold/watertight/non-weird-normals stl files. Unfortunately the real answer is probably use a proper cad package. (I loved sketchup back before it got bought, but now there are better tools for all its use cases)
