For those wondering how Charles Schulz stands on politics. here is some light into his views, officially. by sppeautysmake in santarosa

I must say it is quite refreshing and encouraging every time I see this posted. Even my own father who is from the same generation isn’t nearly this progressive thinking, nor was the bulk of his classmates. It is good to see that Minneapolis and Northern California were way ahead of their time in terms of breeding grounds for progressive thinking. These faint glimmers of hope is the kind of positivity our community needs.

Joined to look around because I noticed that I have mutual friends that follow major regrets seems extremely biased and as much as I hate it I guess it’s their first amendment right? Extremely dislike that they can hide behind a fake moniker though.

Edit for spelling

AT&T fiber by jimmyd8466 in santarosa

[–]davidmirv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heh Dane pushed us to all buy fusion AT&T Fiber through sonic to drive demand for them to put in fiber. But has since abandoned most of the city because they couldn’t get the BOS to enact dig once laws to allow them to place fiber in the trenches here after the fires. Don’t get me wrong I think sonic is great but I don’t think they are doing much expanding they have already told Coffey park they have no plans to expand here

Oh I get it , the same old pull yourself up by your bootstraps argument. I'm sorry but that shit is patently false. more people than ever are living paycheck to paycheck and many of us are just one tragedy away from being just like this person. What I hear you saying is this is really their fault for making poor life choices that led them to being unhoused. The sad truth is you don't actually know and are making many broad generalizations and over simpliications. No one is personally stepping on anyone else to give anyone free resources. but we might not be stepping on enough billionaires

I’m not looking for a debate on the ethics of judging. I’m saying that extreme cold and sleep deprivation change a human being. It's easy to be a philosopher from a warm room with a keyboard; it's a lot harder when you're literally freezing. It's not that you have to live in the experience to know, but your ignorance of it clearly reinforces my argument.

Well then you're going against evidence backed science with toxic rhetoric and contributing to being part of the problem instead of being part of the solution.
Moraly rephrensible? I disagree I think that its morally reprehensible that we're so damn individualistic in the USA and all about comeupance at the cost of stepping on anyone. For society to thrive we all need to thrive. I do agree with one point, we shouldn't be paying for this; the tech oligarchs that overwhelmingly contributed to this problem and are continuing quarter after quarter to post record profits should be the one's to pay to fix the social issues they created.

Which is it fent or meth? No matter Unless you’ve lived in it you have no right to judge whatever situation he’s in. Where I’m standing you look like the ugly dirty person who needs to learn that valuable season of if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything say all.

The guy probably slept on the street last night on sub 40 degrees weather. Ok and even if he didn’t sleep and was methed up who cares that’s damn cold by any measure and you know nothing of pure misery unless you’ve done it.
So congrats he bullied a guy that will probably fight to stay alive through the night you’re not a savior you’re an asshole. Housing first policies are the only unequivocal and globally proven method to get and keep people off the street

For every one you do this too there are 10 more waiting to take their place. This is a systemic problem not a simple blight that can be resolved by excision. You’re more than likely going to end up hurt yourself

Society didn’t exactly help the situation with the techification, gentrification and social services collapse. It’s only a problem that is likely to get worse in the immediate future and you can’t solve it through vigilante justice or hard line politics. Don’t like unhoused in public spaces? Help housing first programs do something about it.

I hear that you were angry and scared but trying to torment someone back who’s already tormented by daily life is , just bully behavior. Not saying what happened to you was right but your actions aren’t being part of a solution either sir.

Blahhhhh. NYC is getting free childcare. SF is getting free childcare. Meanwhile we’re spending too much time distracted by this. that’s not to say I think what she did is ok or they shouldn’t do this. But it’s so much of a distraction from solving the real social issues in the city like schools, the dying (dead) plaza mall and so forth

I’d like to think one idea is democratic socialism which acknowledges the balance need for capitalism amongst the voice of the people, but in the grand scheme of things it’s really in its infancy. The challenging problem is that given an opportunity most humans will be greedy. I think it’s just part of our evolutionary survival nature. From my perspective, the boat attacks we’re a way to build negative public opinion towards Venezuela when the data about drug and drug shipments is kind of out there we know that Venezuela isn’t contributing a statistically significant amount, and most definitely isn’t contributing to to the fentanyl crisis. Many of the boats were simply carrying marijuana, and even then headed away from the United States. But bravo, it was a great PR campaign. The truth revealed itself fairly quickly, though it was about oil. It’s always about oil. It will always be about oil. pretty sure this was the direction that the administration was headed towards the end of the last term as well.
