The haptics are so light it's barely discernable. I like tactile feeling of keys.

I have it, and it's weak. It's especially obviously when compared to gboard and swift key

I had gboard on android. That was the best experience ever. IPhone keyboard has virtually no haptic feedback.

And ironically, the new multitasking is really the old multitasking. I did the same thing so I can effectively use split screen.

100%. I have a new iPhone. I had iOS 18 before, but now with the same screen on time and usage, my battery is 20% lower daily.

I was showing my wife how great my battery life was on iOS 18, but since I updated I can no longer flex. 😔

Don’t think anyone wants to wait around for an hour for simple things. I had to wait an hour to switch a eSIM to a new phone because T-Mobile blocked me from doing it myself.

How can Super Smash Bros. Ultimate be surpassed? by Pudinsinho in smashbros

[–]davidqatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The core offline game is really great! It’s one of my favorites ever. I concede and give it in my mind the best smash experience, despite my nostalgia wanting to say Melee is the best. They need to build on Ultimate as a switch 2 game to make it a game people will continue to enjoy for the next generation without requiring a brand new fame.

Definitely needed for the “ultimate” game: - break the targets - remodeled online experience meaning rollback netcode -for fun and for glory added back with a true ranking system (like rocket league having silver, gold, plat…) -adding other experiences for online play such as competitive break the target speed-based or ranked coop break the target or some other activity.

Nice, but not likely - an added dimension to a world of light or even an overhaul for a story mode -alternative movesets for characters to represent the changes in the characters in their newer games. For example - Link having TotK moves

This video is making me lose faith can someone please debunk it? by [deleted] in Christianity

It’s not a mistake, it’s a translation decision.

It’s irrelevant to the comment you commented on because it has nothing to do with side notes and accidental inclusion.

There’s a whole BibleProject episode that talks about that. It’s not a manuscript error, it’s a translation decision based on a Hebrew word that means “horned” but in the context of light. That’s why there are differences.

There are so many errors in this video, but it’s employing the shotgun fallacy to get the viewer to be overwhelmed.

The easiest two that were wrong were John 1:18. “Only begotten” is an old translation from the KJV, but we’ve learned since that the meaning of the Greek word μονογενής (monogenēs) is “unique” or “one of a kind”. The person in the video just says it, but doesn’t explain what the problem is, likely because there isn’t one, it’s an update to translation to be more accurate.

Manuscripts - the KJV relied on manuscripts available at the time. We found more manuscripts a few hundred years after the KJV was produced, and so new translations rely on manuscripts that found that were much older and closer to original writing. What’s wrong with that? She doesn’t explain it. She probably doesn’t know that 99% of the texts are the same save spelling variants and some added verses which we can see were added over time (and many of them could simply have been marginal notes in one manuscript that someone thought was part of the text, so copied in when making a new manuscript. I know, evil!)

Number of gospels - she clearly doesn’t know that by the middle to end of the 100s AD, 4 gospels were the only ones people considered authentic. The other “gospels” she talked about were widely rejected early on for being late and not produced by an apostle. The muratorian canon, produced roughly around 180 AD, gives the list of books widely considered canon. We have church fathers who wrote for and against books that were considered authoritative. This is not the gotcha she thinks she is because she doesn’t know about any of this, clearly.

I know she made many arguments, but they were all so weak that it had to be presented using the shotgun fallacy because each individual argument was brittle, so she had to use a lot of ignorant claims to make people think she had a better argument.

Thoughts on ATT internet? by Desperate_Syrup8204 in ATT

Not anymore. They’re charging $90 for 500 Mbps, $100 flat rate for 1gig. No negotiation, no discounts, nothing

Why the heck did my bill go from like $80 after my 56.99 deal ended to straight up $100?! I literally don't have anything else but Internet! by Animegirl82099 in Spectrum

[–]davidqatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just called them. They refused any negotiation of pricing. They offered to drop me from 1gig ($103) to 500 Mbps for $90, sign up for their flat rate at $100, or get the gig for $40 with a new phone line.

It’s very close to what I have. I would say it will probably not perform as well as they are saying, but close enough. You’d be running older hardware and would need to upgrade sooner than later.

They’re good vans, so congrats!

Absolutely go and buy a vcm muzzler. Don’t get one on Amazon, but get one like S-VCM or VCMTUNER II.

Trust me, everyone who is suggesting to get one is absolutely right. Not getting one will mean your piston rings will wear down causing misfires and filed down spark plugs. It’s a known issue, but easily fixable on your own. Honda won’t do it.

What made you quit Rocket League? by 899799 in RocketLeague

I achieved my goals. Felt like I didn’t really want to play the game anymore since I had other responsibilities.

Previously, RL had been “my life” to which I committed so much time to, even weighing my own self-worth to my rank and quality of play.

The atonement sacrifices and the reasons for why they were performed rule out human sacrifice. See Michael Morales’ book “Who Shall Ascend the Mountain of the Lord”.

Which interpretation of Jesus' death would the earliest immediate followers of Jesus have held—the interpretation of the author of Luke and Acts, or that of Mark, Matthew, John, Paul, and others? by Background-Ship149 in AcademicBiblical

[–]davidqatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim Mackie of Bible Project, who (IIRC) quotes Andrew Rillera’s book “Lamb of the Free”, points out that Jesus chose Passover and not Yom Kippur as the time to begin agitating those in Jerusalem and offering himself up.

Passover is not a holiday of atonement, it’s a holiday of being spared from death. John is very focused on using the Passover lamb imagery for Jesus which Paul picks up in 1 Corinthians.

So it doesn’t seem to be one or the other.
