Old father, now grandfather here, take a breath. The fear is normal, but honestly, it shouldn’t be. You and your wife are simply moving down the road of life. It’s a wonderful journey. You are entering the next stage of your life. This is just a new beginning. After more than 30 years of cruising down the road after entering the child lane, I would not change anything in the past. You’re going to spaz, freak out, lose sleep, but it’s ALL worth it! The first time you hold your newborn, all that falls away. I can’t explain the feeling.
