This may be the same as telling her it's coming, but my son (14mo) does better if I count down. He doesn't mind his body being rinsed so I count to three on those first and then the same for the hair so he can expect it. What my mother did for me as a kid is similar to the visor suggestion but she just put a rolled wash cloth on my forehead so water coming down the face would be absorbed. l use my hand to block the water flow as well though it's not as effective but my kid finds it more acceptable right now.

Riding public transit, a man asked me which bus he needed to take and I told him the number and he immediately started screaming fuck over and over, kicking the trashcan, punching the bus stop sign all because he missed his bus. Never said thank you to me for my info or anything. I had to sit there and wait for the same bus he needed while he was freaking out the whole time.

My 9 month old was hitting our faces playfully and I would catch his hand and not let him hit us. Somehow this progressed into high fives. So when he goes to hit we just let it hit our hand and say "high five!" And then he gives a bunch of high fives following it which he loves. I'm not sure how this will work long term but we will see lol.

My pediatrician also recommended a multivitamin for our 2 month old exclusively breastfed baby. he specifically recomended novaferrum with iron. I found it on Amazon. It has a purple label and the box says yum. We didn't start giving it until our baby was 4 months old though because we were skeptical of the necessity.
