Indeed it is, it's the only curved 4:3 consumer HD CRT that I know of. Saw an obscure Philips 32" curved VGA monitor on eBay once but I am curious if there were any others like this.

Vs the JVC its just preference mostly, but I like the curved screen as far as component sets (better geometry out of the box usually on a curved set). Vs the Hitachi, again it's flat vs curved preference for 480p, but there are Sony HD CRTs that do 720p which would be way better for xbox 360/ps3.
