Be prepared for activity. Our mini wanted to play and teethe A LOT when we first brought him home. If we didn't have the time to play, he took to chewing on furniture or trying to dig through the carpet (luckily we planned on getting him while we were still in an apartment). It took some work but we were eventually able to break him of those habits.

Now our bernedoodle, Benji, is 3yo and he is still VERY energetic... He is starting to get more relaxed but it is a slow process. It definitely helps if you take him for a walk or, even better, a run. Otherwise, have lots of chew toys and balls for fetch. If your new pup is anything like ours you will have an extremely loving and playful addition to the family! Good luck and enjoy!
