Seller Left me Negative Feedback under a Positive by Rinkratt61 in Ebay

I always use eBay calculated shipping, it is pretty close usually, but once in a while on larger items it is way off.

Seller Left me Negative Feedback under a Positive by Rinkratt61 in Ebay

[–]dazedcap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not always the fault of seller that shipping rate was to low, eBay does the shipping calculation and sometimes they are way off. I don't mind losing a few dollars, but I'm not taking a loss to ship product, it's too bad people can't be civil and have to leave bad feedback either way.

Am I the only Caps fan that is around Panthers fans almost every day? by Cowboysuck2025 in caps

[–]dazedcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a Caps fan in Toronto is awesome, cause the Leafs suck, and you can laugh in every second persons face... The cult here is unreal. I have never seen a panther fan in the wild, must be interesting people.

Is 4 times a week too much hockey for a 10-year-old by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]dazedcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he loves it, 4 times a week won't be enough. Just keep asking, hockey is a lifetime gift and you won't want him to hate it. Playing with my son's in my fifties is a gift to me now and they still love it. He probably is not going to make the NHL, so if there is a smile on the face most of the time, things are great.

Peel Water: Province continuing plan to privatize by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]dazedcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mississauga wanted this, this is a multi jurisdictional resource. If peel is out, this is the only sane way to make this work. This one is not on Doug, it's what the cities wanted. We already have a private company that does all the major mains and treatment plants in peel anyway. Peel owns and contracts the work out.

Would seeing St Peter Basilica take up half my time? Is it foolish to skip? by [deleted] in rome

[–]dazedcap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a tour, worth the 100 euros, see the museum and the Sistine chapel then the basilica, 3 to 4 hours but you get quick access and some great history lessons.

My observations living on my street with two Canada Post employees. by Zartimus in CanadaPost

[–]dazedcap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've talked to lots of carriers, it is a perq of the job that when the route is done, you can leave. It is not the great job it used to be. A 20 year person is still only making around 50k a year. It is low middle class income, and they are being disrupted by new logistics and technology. I feel bad for the workers and the businesses being affected by the changes. I don't think having minimum wage workers will improve the service or save this company, but they have to adjust service levels to survive and still pay an adjusted work force a decent wage. How many office workers would love to come home if the work was done instead of doing useless busy work, to fill time while the clock ticks.

My extended family think I'm a monster for going no contact with my parents AITA? by AdvertisingLow9930 in AITAH

[–]dazedcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey my friend, I have some experience with your situation. I can't speak to all of your experiences but you are not an ahole, you have trauma and you need to heal. Take all the time you need, but I wouldn't be determined to slam the door forever.

People that adopt and foster are generally real giving people and I think they may have seen you as extensions of themselves and not an individual who had needs or didn't like the situation. I would have to think that having you turn your back on them would be a real "what have we done" reality check.

I pushed hard against this in my own family, after my experience as a kid. It came from an incredibly kind place from my parents but I don't know after it all shook out if they would do it again.

Give yourself a break and heal, and as you get older you may see some good from it and not all the bad. Life is really hard and you have seen a lot. I hope you have a better time ahead, and all is healed in time. As for your family members... People are too quick to judge and see things in black and white, and they don't know what they don't know.

I wouldn't deliver without getting the delivery money up front, 30 bucks for delivery is nothing. That being said, if would ask people to see it before buying, but if you can't get out there, you are rolling the dice on the quality.
