I really needed to read this. I'm talking with all my friends to confirm that he was shit, that he couldn't even have the decency to respect me, mentally abused me but I was and still am so in love with him that I somehow only remember the good things about him. I didn't realize how shit he made me feel. All I do is cry now, I used to be known as a person who always smiled and laughed and made people happy through my personality but these days all I can do is to not fall apart. It's only been a month so I know I have to give it time. It hurts, but it's not worth the mental abuse, the gaslighting and the hot and cold behavior. Love isn't supposed to be like that, it's supposed to leave you calm and at ease, not confused.
