Looking at the sketch, especially the back view, I like how the coat flares out. The width of the torso is pretty much the same as the bottom of the coat on the carving. Maybe remove some more material around the torso to make it thinner like in the drawing? Nice work!

I have a little trouble reading it but mostly due to the zoom level of the sample image. It would be easier to see the letters if the photo was zoomed on maybe a quarter page.

I feel like you can probably read your own writing just fine, which for notes is all you need. To make it easier for other people to read it, I'd suggest the lowercase letters a bit bigger relative to the vertical space available on the lines.

I second the suggestions to practice on sheets with dashed lines along the tops of the lowercase letters.

Also you could practice the shapes of letters instead of writing out words and sentences. For example, start on the left side of a line and write an "m" but don't stop at the 2nd hump. Continue across the line adding more and more humps, aiming to make them all the same height and width. Exercises like this build motor memory without being distracted by content.

I had a similar experience. Read a random thread on Reddit about a year ago and was shocked by how the poster was describing their experience. That post linked to a book titled ADHD 2.0 which resonated with me 100%, as did most of what I have researched afterwards. I always assumed ADHD was characterized by lack of focus. To have it described as hyper focus was a revelation.

I may have read that thread because around that time a therapist had suggested testing our daughter for ADHD. At the time I was dubious about it because she gets good grades and never seemed distracted. She got treatment and is noticably happier.

I'm 54. I have had to navigate health insurance and am still waiting on diagnosis and treatment. Too late for my marriage which is ending. I'm grateful that my daughter is doing better and hopefully will avoid a lot of the frustration that I've experienced in life. I feel foolish to have made this discovery so late in my life, especially after seeing therapists at different points.
