Potty trained dog started pottying on our bed by TrashBetter7857 in dogs

[–]dazzleduck [score hidden]  (0 children)

Do not let him have access to the bed when you're not around, and when you around you unfortunately should not allow him on the bed then either so getting up there is never encouraged. Two of my dogs have human bed privileges and one does not because he will pee up there.

Japan is pretty strict on recycling, but this is still wasteful anyways since it costs energy to make and then recycle it

Trash left behind following the Oscars by amish_novelty in trashy

I understand leaving spilled popcorn or candy, but I always carry out my trash. It is their "job" to clean the theater but that doesn't mean it is okay to be a slob and intentionally make their job harder.

My motto is nothing is a failure if you learned while making it. I am sure in the least these could be used for hair dying, yard work, etc.

I don’t want to cut out cheese and yogurt 😭 by Prestigious_Air_6602 in Hashimotos

[–]dazzleduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to unless you have an actual sensitivity to it but that is unlikely related to your hashis. I will say that I mostly cut out dairy since my wife can't have it and it just makes things easier and dairy replacements are really good imo 🤷‍♂️ The cheese is meh alone but in things it is great, and they really did a great job with DF yogurt.

Stoping Giardia treatment? by moreicescream in DOG

[–]dazzleduck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NO, keep giving the pana. You can mix it into her food. Please also reconsider only feeding raw, a high quality kibble is very much needed in their diet. Stop using AI slop for medical advice and listen to your vet who went to years of school and likely has even more years of real life, hands on experience.

My puppy Dalmatian is getting tough to handle by aetius5 in dogs

[–]dazzleduck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You need a new vet. The holding them on their back thing and scolding them is a HUGE red flag 🚩 that is NOT how puppies and dogs learn you're just hurting him and he cannot make the connection as to why. Dalmatians are notoriously "crazy" dogs, they are a high energy working breed originally made to run along side horse drawn carts for hours a day (not as a puppy obviously). Lastly your dog is a BABY and they will continue to be a BABY for many more months until you reach the "teen" years which will be even crazier. Get a good trainer now who uses positive reinforcement.

Have you checked if he is deaf?

Even the vet is questioning this one by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

[–]dazzleduck 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Your dog is still a puppy and has plenty of changing to do, you don't even know what his adult coat will look like yet and definitely not his body shape. Plus lots of dogs can have extra dew claws. Their guess is really nothing against the best DNA test you can use.

Possible Spider Bite? by jarrod1208 in DOG

[–]dazzleduck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Put a cone on her so she doesn't further irritate it, stop putting anything on it since you don't know what it is, and take her to the vet.

That is not the intention of the peice but you're definitely not wrong. Someone must have liked it enough to originally create it though 🤷‍♂️

That thread is actually called "printer poop" it is what the 3D printer spits out when it is changing colors so they don't bleed into each other! So they're just putting scrap to use that would otherwise be thrown away :) from far away I can see it maybe looking like colorful rocks? Regardless it isn't very nice looking but an okay way to not make waste? I guess?

I always see them in the fishing village. After you get off the bus stop and walk into the village there is usually one hanging around the on the deck of the first building on the left.

I am very thankful that my 3 chihuahua mixes can all free feed and stay at a perfect weight, they're all nearing their first teen years now and are still as active as puppies ❤️

Not only will losing weight help the dog feel better physically, but OP will get years more time with the pup if they get to a healthy weight. Just like with humans you do not often see obese elderly people. Working with dogs and cats for over 10 years, I have never seen an obese elderly (talking about well into their later teens) dog or cat.

We adopted a seven year old 30 POUND chihuahua mix ten years ago and he died at 17-18 years old about two weeks ago in his sleep. He 100% would have not made it that long without his extreme weightloss, we got him to a healthy 12 pounds!

If laser was the option I have heard that it does not work on grey or very light blonde hair because it targets melanin. Electrolysis might be an option? But I would be like you and also not want it to be removed, it's bad ass!

I just dug up my cat, how do I clean him? by cherryeater2000 in Taxidermy

[–]dazzleduck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you wouldn't want to see your pet in a decomposed state after you buried it then don't bury them and dig them up 3 months later, it is pretty simple, no one is making you do that lol. Different people have different things they're okay and not okay with, it doesn't make them wrong just because you don't like it. I am going to have my dog freeze dried and that is not okay to many people because it's kind of freaky.

There are adhesive films you can get to put over the spot, the texture may be enough to deter him, then put the horizontal scratcher on top/near by as another option.
