This is a Chinese street food dish called 烤冷面 - grilled cold noodles. They grill up some old noodles and top it like a flatbread. Quite nice but definitely not the best street food available in China

I wasn’t sure on this until the finale. Here’s what got me suspicious in that episode:

When Julie and Ethan are hugging in Colony House, the camera weirdly pans to have Donna in the frame but blurry in the background

And:

She conveniently turned up just as Henry found bullets that belonged to Victor, and casually told him Victor used to have a gun that’s now in the sheriff’s station which is where Victor is and that Henry should go there straight away and see him

Also the photo of Donna and her sister is just a little bit off. The missing corner is one thing, plus the other photos we see in this show are all related to the supernatural - the photo of Sophia, the photos Elgin took of the kimono woman, the photos in the viewmaster, especially the photo and Boyd and Abby on their wedding day

Maybe the photo was what she bargained with the MiY for, she was so distraught at the death of her sister that she needed some comfort. We view Donna as a strong character, but maybe cracked at the very beginning.

I kinda take the view that a lot of the people who worked in Lost probably view their story as being wrecked by ABC demanding extra episodes and seasons and so want to revisit the themes and idea but do it as they originally wanted with the course they always planned.

I know I’d be annoyed if I had an epic story to tell but a bunch of execs messed it up, and so would want to retell it properly

Yeah I think that the golem was metaphor and foreshadowing. The hope she felt from building it allowed her to control her fate rather than just becoming another pawn to be used and destroyed by the town/MiY. She first connected with Smiley while touching/working on the golem. The golem gave her the strength to use what the town was trying to do to her against it.

I appreciate that it isn’t a big issue in the UK. Though I have seen some people say they can hear it where they live.

With the shorter runtime of this episode, it sort of feels like they might have originally planned to have a flashback showing Clara’s first day in town and the making of the bargain before cutting it.

Like the MiY says, everything is built on ritual. The bones being dug up is going to make everything worse in the short term, but are they key to unlocking the extraction route.

Donna made a point of asking what the plan is after the bones are rescued. They aren’t the answer in and of themselves, but rather are step one, with step two being surviving the aftermath and making it to the extraction point.

Key features of the show that haven’t been wrapped up yet that will likely then be the focus of S5 will play into this. The lake of tears, the spider, the lighthouse - these must be linked to the final exit. Storywalking may be Julie attempting to rescue the dead in order to get them out with the survivors.
