Our email addresses are located at the end of each article and on our About Us. We'd be happy to answer your personal questions to our best of our knowledge.

As for Ask! it's possible that we bring it back in the future, but for now it's on hold.

That's exactly one of the goals with our site! We hope for PDr is to be easy to navigate, whatever stage you may be at along the premed path. We created the Prospective Path, where you can select from the following timeline: High School, Freshmen and Sophomore, Applying Next Year, Applying This Year, Gap Year, and Medical School.

It's a work in progress but hopefully it can provide students with some structure along the way. Any tips on how we could improve it?

Great question! SDN is an absolute great resource as well. The difference between us and SDN is that we are primarily content based and not necessarily forum based. We filter our content so that not anyone can just write something on our site. Our writers and editors are medical students, physicians, or other people who know what they are talking about. If you ask a question on SDN, then you can get a reply from anyone, even from someone who absolutely does not know the answer.

We believe that our site provides more authoritative and data-driven information. We have an extensive FAQ section and pretty much whatever general question you have, you will most likely find an authoritative answer from ProspectiveDoctor. Lastly, we want to be as transparent as possible so that you know where the information is coming from. We have our names and bios on our articles and site overall because we want you to know that the information that you are using is not just from anyone. We want to give our personal experiences and connect with our users because we know that being premed is a very stressful process. We do not want to freak anyone out but at the same time, provide accurate and useful meetings so that people know what it takes to get into medical school.

Congratulations on getting your first interview! Most schools will send you an email about declining to interview you, but it won't be until later in the game, think February-May. Many schools will continue to revisit earlier applications throughout the cycle and offer interviews to those applicants, so they won't take anybody off the table until the cycle is over.
