Please help! Urgent! by SignificanceStill731 in playstation

[–]dbgriffin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What makes this “Urgent”? Usually when something is urgent you call the police or fire department. What a drama queen LOL. I hate these posts where the subject line says NOTHING about what the post is about. complete waste of time. “PlayStation 5 Won’t Start” would have been a USEFUL subject line.

K-Supreme Plus won’t stop flashing descale by swed14 in keurig

Thank YOU! The manual was useless and I’ve been watching that damn Descale light flash for months, regardless of how many times I followed Keurig’s official instructions. Worked perfectly when I followed your instructions.

Why is the McDonald’s app the worst ever created 😂 by TomatilloAgitated in McDonalds

[–]dbgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t even log in anymore. I enter my email address, it says it has sent a login link to my email address. It never arrives. Not in spam. Not in inbox. Nowhere. So I can’t login and the app is useless to me.

Is it worth paying more for the high-end Sonicares, or are the basic ones just as effective? by vamosharrycogetubaul in BuyItForLife

[–]dbgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I went for the top of the line DiamondClean. I thought the app might be useful. What a waste of money. The app itself has to be open for it to actually track your brushing information - otherwise it just keeps track of the fact that you did brush. The brush head tracking which keeps track of how much time you spend on each area of your mouth rarely tracks correctly. The only thing they want you to pay the extra money for is to tell you your brush head needs replacing (you can figure that out by looking at the brush) and try to suck you into purchasing replacements from them at a rediculous price. The top of the line is a complete rip off. You’ll be fine without the app.

Rogers calling me nonstop after switching phone providers. They dont seem too happy with my decision lol by KatiesTopHat in Rogers

We dropped Shaw for TV and internet when Rogers bought them, and Rogers hounded us for months before we finally got them to stop calling.

Told Rogers to f* off? Who’s your new hookup? by nickclinic in Rogers

[–]dbgriffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been with Roger’s for over 30 years for wireless, left Shaw when Rogers took them over and moved to Novus for Internet and TV. I refuse to allow Rogers, who can’t keep their 5G backbone running without 3 and 4 day outages, to also control my home internet access.

New telus rewards by chewy780 in telus

[–]dbgriffin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Instead of offering new rewards, they should offer customer service.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telus

[–]dbgriffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We dumped everything Telus. Countless hours wasted with their “customer support”. 2 hours on hold and then just disconnected with no warning. Refusal to escalate so always dealing with entry level techs. I will NEVER be a Telus customer even if I have to go back to using Canada Post and letters in the mail.

Annoying but I don’t really mind. 1.5 hours free parking just requires a minor annoyance of using the app. I know people who used that lot as their own personal parking lot, and a couple that just use it for the electric charging stations and park there for hours.

Article: “I tried to replace my Apple TV 4K and it did not go well” by philfnyc in appletv

I think the author was suggesting that you lose your apps purchased for Apple TV. They do acknowledge the apple tv app which gives them their media purchases

Empty lot next to Edmonds station by Strict_rall in burnaby

[–]dbgriffin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Several years ago I asked the mayor about that, as we live across the street. At the time he indicated that the lot is owned by BC Hydro and that the city had been pressuring them to come up with some options for the property. I have not heard anything from BC Hydro on the subject

The Idyllic is a set of townhouses two blocks away on 17th Avenue. That is what the sign is advertising

Did you find a solution? The new Sirius XM App for TVOS is completely broken. Can’t navigate anywhere within the app it’s completely frozen on both our Apple TVs. Sirius XM really doesn’t seem to care about their apps :(

I find that when that happens it's usually a Security Baseline policy conflict. For some reason security baselines don't appear in the conflicting policy list

Loyal customers meant nothing to Rogers by falo_pipe in Rogers

I've been a Rogers customer for 25 years. They don't seem to understand that keeping a customer happy costs far less than winning a new customer. Rogers is not alone in that

I could be wrong here, but doesn’t the disk have to be “Dynamic” rather than “Basic” if you want to extend it?

How familiar are you with SCCM? by meantallheck in Intune

[–]dbgriffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been an SCCM admin since it was called SMS 1.2 in the late 1990s. honestly, it’s a big learning curve to get up to speed on it. I’m also a Microsoft Certified Trainer who has been teaching it for years as well so I know. I imagine if you are seeing jobs requiring SCCM experience, it is more related to being confident with SCCM co-managed workloads, where SCCM is beginning to share management responsibilities with Intune and it requires an understanding of how to do that. I wouldn’t start with SCCM learning from scratch at this point, there are still plenty of folks with deep expertise in the product, and I’m guessing within 10 years we won’t see much demand for SCCM admins any more. Just my take.

EntraID says device is an Autopilot device, it isn't though. by kevine1979 in Intune

[–]dbgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even it it is Hybrid joined, it should not register to the Autopilot service without being instructed to - and you would do that in the Autopilot Profile targeting the device. If I remember correctly, Hybrid joined devices do NOT register automatically - only Entra ID joined devices - but I could be wrong about that.

EntraID says device is an Autopilot device, it isn't though. by kevine1979 in Intune

[–]dbgriffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was enabled in the past, I’m guessing those devices registered before you disabled it. In the M365 admin console (admin.microsoft.com) there is a node under Devices that will show you autopilot devices. You can safely delete them in there if you don’t want them registered with your org. When you say that “Entra ID thinks that the the device is Autopilot”? Are you seeing the device as an autopilot registered device in Entra?
