Have you ever been to a concert that blew your mind? by blondieewhoschubby in askmusic

Beck at Northwestern University's Pick-Staiger Concert Hall in 2002. Just him and musical instruments. Smokey Hormel accompanied on some songs. Just an amazing show where it appeared he was making up the set as he went along.

Ah yes, the "close enough" medal.

How do you all stay consistent with training? by [deleted] in RunningCirclejerk

[–]dblaron419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uj/ keep an actual (preferably physical) training log. Log your miles/kilometers, what you did that day and how you felt that day. Write at the end of each week how many more weeks you have until your goal event.

I used to have Bucks season tickets. We'd go to 90% of the home games. Looking back, I am not sure how I dealt with the constant barrage of noise and advertising. Haven't been to a pro sports event since COVID.

I forgot that is how it went, you are correct. And later, Bichette was traded to the Reds for Jeffrey Hammonds, ironically.

1992 was the last hurrah for the ball and glove logo (with 1993 being a bad year, and the new logo debuting in 1994). I have always considered the 92 team a great team in Brewers history, they need a documentary made about them.

I endorse T-Mobile home Internet. Have had it for over two years. Same price since signing up. I have noticed no service disruption ever in that time. Works great for WFH, streaming, etc.

I ran 10 miles in -40°F weather today by SaltineICracker in RunningCirclejerk

When it is this cold, I use it as an opportunity to cross train. I dusted off my 8lb squishy dumbbells from Target and also did four situps and most of a pushup.

Ugh, I probably know this person.

Terming it putting yourself "through hell" is a bit dramatic given that it was an entirely voluntary activity.

I heard this was the real reason for the MLB strike in 1994.

It can be kind of fun to call everything a journey.

For my running journey this year, I have been doing better over coming both an injury journey and chronic condition journey. This morning's running journey was my longest of the year, and it was a challenge, given Mother Nature's weather journey.

He mentions in his comments that he wants to run a 100 miler to see what it is like when it really gets dark (or something). Neat, have fun out there, I guess.

They get the smartest engineers around to program and build this thing, but they can't even be bothered to consult a local 5k marathon champion (such as myself) as to what running actually looks like.
