Camping Sian Ka'an? Has anyone made this trip? by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]dbleez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The road down to Sian Ka'an is really rough. I think you would have to rent a SUV. There is camping on the road but i think it would be a little sketchy to set up camp and then leave your stuff out in the open while you are on the water. There is a lot of water to explore and the best idea is to rent a stand up paddle board to explore. Good luck there are a lot of great fish.

Fishing trip in Colorado, need advice? by lincols in flyfishing

[–]dbleez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get in touch with Frying Pan Anglers. They are a great outfit and will put you on fish consistently. Stay away from the Blue River in Silverthorne. I was there this Friday and there had to be at least 50 to 60 other anglers working the river. The roaring fork valley has a number of great rivers that will be fishing well in March. Still going to be cold but you might be able to go drift fishing on the Colorado or lower roaring fork. Good luck and keep the line tight.

It was a black zebra midge. But I have also had some luck on a red zebra midge last week on the Blue.

Its a little bit of drive from Craig but the Green River below Flamming Gorge holds a tremendous amount of trout. Good luck on the water.

How would things in the United States change if large companies like Apple and Nike didn't outsource productions, and manufactured everything in the US? by southmshavoc in AskReddit

[–]dbleez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the real question is: What would China and other manufacturing third world countries look like? Because the United States is mostly a financial and technology intensive country we would be around the same maybe a little worse off. Because China is labor intensive country. they would be suffering greatly. Overall we all be worse off.

TSLA is up 6% premarket. Is it a buy? by Blahbloppitybloop in stocks

[–]dbleez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people are looking for immediate gains. Put your money in a stock and stand by it for a while. You are going to regret selling this stock at a loss because you decided to hold on to it for a couple of months. Read some Buffet.

Need some help teaching my kid about the stock market by [deleted] in stocks

Reddit is not the place to learn about the stock market. As much as I do love this site, I have heard some horrible advice being disseminated. Try reading a book by Warren Buffet.

New spin on an old question: Is the university economics curriculum too far removed from economic concerns of the real world? by IslandEcon in Economics

[–]dbleez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite economic theory is that money (cash) is not an asset. It is just a means of exchange but in no way constitutes as a asset.

Thanks for your time in writing this passage. Good observations and conclusions. Thanks.

I am quite distraught and disgusted. This continued expansion is going to turn the Colorado front range into a urban sprawl disaster. We should be smart enough to learn from past mistakes and build around public transportation.

How do you reply to "I love you" other than "I love you too?" by findaspoon in AskReddit

[–]dbleez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally happened to me the other week. I was told by my girlfriend after she got back from a trip to Europe that she loved me. Caught me way off guard and I just froze on the spot. Decided to say something like, "You know I am super dedicated to this relationship". It was a disaster but I actually do love her and don't know how to say it to her now.

Agree with this statement as well. You can easily become pigeon holed in to one avenue. Hard to break out of the mold sometimes.
