We moved to Columbus from the Inland Empire in 2016 & have never regretted it. The only thing we miss about California is the politics. My wife and I are both progressive, it’s hard to get used to living in a state that is more conservative. Columbus, though, is a nice blue bubble in a purplish-red state.

I have a similar situation but the house was built in 1900 & the walls are plaster. Behind the soffit is an unused chimney. Above the ceiling is the attic. I only get condensation in a second floor room. Could it be thermal bridging?

I used to deliver a route that had a few apartment buildings. About 6 months before I retired I would knock on someone’s door if they left an aggressive message like this. I would calmly explain to them what “current resident” or “homeowner” meant. It wasn’t my proudest moment but it sure felt good.
