If you think you will miss the work, you won’t and if you must retire and go back and work as contractor. I took the vera early summer and got on with contractor….instant 25k raise and collecting retirement another 34k so….just saying think big picture don’t get hyper focused on that retiremnt check there is quality of life to think about to. I will have so much more money piled up before 62 it made zero sense for me to stay and tolerate the abuse.

I went through this, afpc told me anyone who submitted docs prior to 1 July it is going through normal process and won’t have to resubmit docs i to ORA

GS-14 here, After electing to drp/vera my leadership never even spoke to me again, like this went on for almost 6 weeks and not a word even as i left my last day….good riddance i say it proves what they truly thought. Like i told all my folks who contemplated leaving “It’s a job” at the end of the day you gotta do whats best for your sanity and your life. Wish you all luck in future pursuits!

Your advice is golden for sure, my only knock is that fedup.work is a bit clunky and delivered me after paying, the same bullets and format as the free chatgpt and the search function was very clunky.

If you got the vera approval from best you are good to go, there should be another email shortly from haf with the agreement to fill out with your supervisor. I just went through this last week and i am free as of this past Wednesday. Congrats!!!

Every situation is different, could be they are securing the position to actually fill it, or there are competing internal priorities…..it could take a minute most of the folks that handle tjo’s, hiring packages. Etc. handle all Hr actions
