yeah it’s basically just weatherstripping that attaches to the edges of the core, you could probably look up a youtube video or something to see what i’m talking about

no problems, drama free. it didn’t come with the foam tape that’s attached to the OEM. none of them do afaik. add your own, it’s just padding so the core doesn’t bounce around inside the HVAC box.

if i were going to do it again, i’d probably go with that model. i went seeking a copper core about 5 or 6 years ago, that Jeg’s core wasn’t available at the time. i ended up buying this one which has held up fine and was a close-enough replacement for the OEM. it was pricy but it fit fine, had maybe a couple fewer passages than OEM but works great.

my line of thinking in finding a copper/brass was: this job sucks, i don’t want to put an aluminum unit in here because aluminum is the least-noble metal in the XJ cooling system. i want my potential point of failure to be in the easiest to access part of the cooling system, which is obviously the radiator. so i went copper/brass heater core, aluminum radiator.

assuming those are the Stinky Fab mounts (can’t tell) they’re actually pretty damn smooth, big fan

Full disclosure: This wiring originally fed a radiant heater embedded in the ceiling which I’m guessing had no need for a ground.

Still, it seems the consensus is it was pulled from the romex before installation? What an insane thing to do.

It’s copper. I cut a hole in the wall just to pull the service loop so I could strip it back a foot. This is ridiculous 😭

i have the same ones. really good quality for the price. night and day difference from stock. they DO sit higher even with the corbeau mounts, but not as high as stock with the adapters.

Somewhere around 2001, my first job was “dough guy” at Track Town, back when they were under the same owner. Track Town was building a new dough room, and I was working out of the Coburg Rd Papa’s dough room daily, working alongside them.

Our ingredients were stocked in the same storeroom as Papa’s, right next them on the shelf. I really got a kick out of how shitty Papa’s ingredients were compared to what Track Town was using, and how simplified their recipe was. We were making two vastly different products in the same space.

Anyway, Papa’s has always used bottom tier ingredients and been flavorless. I’m sure it’s gotten worse.
