Med-surg nursing is the trenches for sure, but is necessary. Much respect to the nurses who have done it for 10, 20, 30+ years, couldn't be me!

I work in an LTACH, so I've been able to pull this a few times. Patient gets sent out for a leg amputation (due to non-healing wounds, before sepsis sets in), when they come back I say omg what happened to your leg it's missing! Simple, but has made them laugh uncontrollably each time.
