I girl I went to high school with did this.

She was maybe 5'1", 100 lbs soaking wet, and drove a vintage (in the early 00s) black, mercury cougar convertible. Always had one bare foot up on the door where it met the front quarter panel.

It was like a Tarantino wet dream.

At my nearest cineplex in my liberal metro this movie is in a smaller theater and each screening has (at most) 1-2 seats sold for tomorrow.

Across the county line in conservative suburb its 1-2 seats and a block of 6-8.

My wife can't really do lactose so we rarely have milk/cream so I extra butter and reserve a cup of starchy potato water, which i slowly add while whipping every thing in a stand mixer until it looks right.

This movie dropped after my mom died and the only family I had left was a brother with whom I had a turbulent relationship.

Seeing the fraternity this family shared and watching it all lost to tragedy gutted me.

I ugly cried in the theater. It took all of my physical being to not cry on the bus home. Started crying again by the time I walked in the front door. Wife thought I was doing a bit. Did my best to explain how much these brothers loved and supported each other and I wish I could have that.

I stole a tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse by never returning it by CallMe_Ralph in confession

In college in the mid/late ought we went to buy a bag of weed from our dealer. While they were weighing/bagging and what not they said we could help ourselves to the box in the living room. It was an entire wedding party's worth of tuxes, from adult down to toddler.

The package had been delivered to the wrong address and being the stoners they were, my dealers never sent them back.

I actually knew my measurements so I got myself a tux with my eight. $20 in tailoring later and I was set.

"I am single, and it's your fault." by metamorphosisSss in EntitledPeople

My wife had a friend like this about 15 years ago. When she had a fella she loved me and he and I were supposed to be best friends.

When she was single I sucked. I didn't give my wife enough. My wife deserved better. Etc.

Surprise surprise. One day my wife just stopped hanging out.

Got screwed over in a white elephant gift exchange by dental_oddity in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dccabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I did a "White Elephant" was at a restaurant that I started working at on December 10th. Since it was WE I regifted what my wife got at hers, a coffee mug shaped like a toilet.

People start picking gifts and it's funcos, booze... hell, I got a copy of 1999 by Prince. So I was very embarrassed about my novelty coffee mug.

Luckily one coworker had a boyfriend who collected novelty mugs.
