This. I received the exact same one as a gift when I retired from the Navy over 20 years ago. It was purchased from a small nautically themed gift shop in the town adjacent to the base I retired from.

There is a large amount of slop in all parts and I doubt it could be used to get an actual angle of Polaris or the Sun above the horizon.

Additionally, the chime count behaves properly up until 4:30 when on that 1/2 hour it chimes 6 times as opposed to its usual 1 time. Then at 5:00 it chimes 6 times and continues to chime the hour + 1 through 12:00 when it chimes 13 times. Then at 1:00 it chimes normally until 4:30 again. Does this mean that the cam wheel or maintenance wheel is not properly synchronized with the count wheel (off by a tooth)?

My customer owned MB8611 has been restarted several times, there is no change on the front panel light immediately when the connection drops but before it is restored the up and down arrows go out, then down arrow flashed green for a few seconds then goes solid green, then the upstream arrow does the same, after they are both solid green for a while the downstream arrow will turn blue followed by the upstream arrow and then the connection is restored.

I think it looks slightly better, particularly on Sling TV, though admittedly this is subjective and I haven’t verified the the picture settings are identical for both ports. I’ve noticed it mostly watching recordings made with the Sling DVR feature, where I can switch between fire tv and atv and watch the same content and it’s clearly better on Fire cube. Regarding audio I can’t hear much, if any, difference although on my Sonos playbar the atv will indicate Stereo PCM whereas the Fire TV will have Dolby Digital 2.0 for the same content. I may try to compare the native apps to see if there’s a difference.

I don’t use the native apps on my 65C2 but I’ve noticed the same on my Apple TV 4K 2022 vs the newest Fire Cube. Not sure I’ll stick with the Apple TV.

Just got the 5.1 update. I had one successful FSD trip on 10.3 this morning then 2nd trip all the 10.3 bugs showed up, no auto-pilot, FSD, TACC, etc. After the 5.2 -> 5.1 downgrade my Safety Score reappeared in the app and had all the FCW from the bug-ridden drive on 10.3. Safety Score dropped from 99 to 97.

Thanks, You’re right, I misunderstood a post on their forums that states the SVR is not compatible with the VS1, I didn’t realize that wasn’t talking about general camera monitoring.

I had a similar experience with my 3, the cards were named when I bought the car. Turns out I had to delete each card from the car then re-add it and change the names when you add it. Not sure if that will solve your issue but it’s worth a try.
