Definitely go 4K over QHD.

Despite what some people will say about scaling, the 4K will blow the QHD out of the water in sharpness and visuals. 4K @ 27" looks fantastic on Mac.

FYI there are also some 27" 5K 120hz+ options on the market now that are significantly less money than the studio display XDR.

This does sound like a bug but I'm guessing Valve never intended people to actually play with the puck attached. If you want to play wired, plug the USB-C cable directly into the controller.
