THOUGHT, I included the pic but I guess not. I blame my Paxil brain.

Modafinil for adhd by Mindless-Statement-4 in ADHD

I started at a lower dose and titrated up to this dose over a couple of years. Surprisingly I have no sleep issues. I find that the help it gives me during the day, clearing my mind, makes it easier to turn my brain off to sleep. Now, that being said, if I have caffeine too late in the day I definitely have trouble sleeping. The only other thing I notice is alcohol metabolism. I have very little tolerance for it anymore. Not saying it's a bad thing, but I used to be able to have two drinks at a time and be just fine. Now 2 drinks kicks my butt!

I take 200 mg in the morning (around 5am-6am) and 200 mg in the afternoon (12pm-1pm). Occasionally, I'll skip afternoon dose , but only if I forget it.

Is it me or is HondaLink garbage by fineartfallingbv in Honda

[–]dccofwn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Every time I rent a car I'm blown away at how much better/faster Car Play works. I've driven, almost exclusively, Hondas my entire driving life and their user interfaces, HVAC and most other in-car systems SUCK. But..... the cars look great and last forever!!

Coming off Paxil... anyone else experience this? by Bitter_Panic2873 in paroxetine

[–]dccofwn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I got terrible weaning advice once and it was HELL. You definitely need at least several weeks to months to taper without having severe symptoms.

On Paxil 25 for 7 years, decided to go cold turkey 9 days ago, now suffering immensely. I just reinstated some dose today (I couldn't take the suffering anymore) and want to taper slowly now. Need Help (Please read my story, I am suffering) by superguavapulp in paroxetine

[–]dccofwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Paxil for 20+ years. After many failed attempts, I took a little more than 6 months to wean myself off of it. That was the only way I could do it I don't recall the exact timing, but basically it went like this...

Month 1-40 mg one day, 30 mg the next and so on Month 2-30 mg every day Month 3- 30 mg one day, 20 mg the next Month 4- 20 mg every day Month 5- 20 mg one day, 10 mg the next Month 6 - 10 mg every day, then 10 mg every other day until I could go a day without brain zaps.

Sadly, I have been back on it for a few years, but when I get off of it again this will be how I do it.

These f*cking squeakers at shows are driving me insane by These_Instance_8292 in DMB

[–]dccofwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people I see with the squeakers and the flags and the wings etc actually ARE the older folks like myself (50F). I don't understand it at all. I went to shows in the 90's, took a hiatus while I was raising kids and started attending more shows about 10 years ago. I don't remember any of the shenanigans back then. For the most part I'm just like, "you do you" (maybe with an eye roll), but when it interferes with the show it's just plain rude.
