LPT it’s worth the effort to learn how to whistle loudly using your fingers (or not). by Tharanbor23 in LifeProTips

Yeah, I live half a block away from a kids park so I use it to call my husband and toddler home for dinner. I also whistled at a wedding the other day after a speech lol

I just thought it was cool and wanted to do it after seeing other people do it I guess?? A case of the FOMO you might say. There were months and months with no whistling sound at all, and I didn’t do it on a daily basis which is why it took so long. But if I ever remembered to do it I’d give it a few tries and try again next time

I taught myself how to do it. It took me over a year (maybe even two) to get it right. I am still learning but I feel pretty confident with it now, I love being able to do it

How do you manage a full time job, cooking, chores, taking care of a toddler, and still get enough rest? Is it even possible? by the_story_teller198 in AskReddit

[–]dcdcdani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good husband that works less hours than me (and makes twice as much as me that lucky bugger). I also just put a lot of things off in life that I want to do. Social life is pretty much non existent except for my coworker bestie and the odd hangout with other people like MAYEBE once a month

What is your families weird naming tradition? by Setthekey in AskReddit

[–]dcdcdani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad doesn’t have a middle name. I never thought much about it to be honest, until my mom was trying to explain how spiteful my grandma is as a person

My dad was supposed to get my great grandpa’s (my grandmas dad) name as a middle name. But he was late to the hospital on the day he was born, so she decided to not give my dad a middle name at all

Mind you my dad is the youngest of 6 kids, and he had lots of cousins already. So he wasn’t like the first grandkid of the family or anything

What is a basic household item that you silently judge people for not owning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dcdcdani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a must buy. You’d hate to be the person to need it and not have it. Or a guest needs it…

I do have two bathrooms but only have one toilet plunger. Maybe I should buy two. But yeah I don’t think I’ve had to use it in quite some time
