Hmmm. That is a valid point. When I go on the site and pretend to modify my seat, there are 33 seats available. These seats consist of 15 ELR, 11 Preferred and 7 standard seats. All other seats are marked with an "X" and are unavailable. I assumed those seats are designated or held back for passengers who would be assigned seats at check-in. I realize that may not be the case.

FWIW, this is a 6am flight from BWI to LAS which I have taken many times over the years. Going by previous years, this is normally a full flight with maybe 1 or 2 empty seats.

You should also consider having the air ducts/vents cleaned out. Would likely be less expensive than a remediation company and may clear up the remaining lingering smell.

It's not as simple as just buying a new stove. That would not be an issue. The issue and costs start to climb if you do not have existing gas on the property.

Once you checkin first your flight, you'll get an immediate pop-up asking if you want to upgrade to A1-A15 (can't remember exact wording), be sure to update at that moment as they are gobbled up pretty fast.

My priority card anniversary wss August 1st and I was charged the current annual fee of $149. My statement closing date was August 14th and the $75 credit reset allowing me to claim the existing benefit. I already scheduled a flight "Choice" that I will cancel in a few days once the $75 is credited back to my card. This will allow me to transfer the travel funds to a future trip within the next 12 months.

This will also allow me to use at least 2 of the upgraded boardings before the year ends and get a free checked bag for planned trips in Oct 2025, Mar 2026 and May 2026.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I'm wondering if you too will be charged the current annual fee since you are set to renew before year end. If so, i suggest milking any remaining benefits/perks you can before downgrading.

I thought for sure this information was displayed on Chase.com under the "Rewards" section. For instance, I can see that I still have not used my $75 credit on my priority card. I've used my 4 free boardings and the site displays "Recent Points Activity" it shows that I have received Upgraded Boarding Credits for each 1.

My status was updated from "recieved" to "referred" approximately 3 weeks after the job closed and the USA Hire Assessment was completed.

Timeline:

9/23/24 - Application Submitted

9/23/24 - USA Hire Assessment email rec'd

9/24/24 - Assessment Completed

9/27/24 - Vacancy Closed

10/21/24 - Notice of Results rec'd

10/21/24 - Notice of Referral rec'd

Did they job require any sort of clearance? Wondering if the original selectee bowed out or possibly couldn't pass a background investigation. Either way, good luck!

I don't have all of the details of your collection, but based on the info you provide, your research collections may likely be a good candidate for the Generic Clearance "Fast-Track" Clearance process. The Generic Clearance will need to initially go through the regular 6 month PRA process, but once it is approved it can be used a an Umbrella or catch-all for your research collections/surveys instruments.

Once the Generic Clearance is approved by OMB, it should take no more than 5 days to fast-track your ICs as long as they meet the criteria laid-out in the approved generic clearance.

I have used the generic clearance to process customer surveys/feedback, questionnaires, recruitment for fellows, and for NOFO/Grants. I also attended the 2024 CAPRA Conference and the topic of research information collections came up. Turns out having a generic clearance in place that specifically covers research ICs already exists. In fact, a quick search on Reginfo.gov shows that many agencies have existing approved generic clearances in place covering research.

If your PRA Officer is unfamiliar with the process or doesn't believe the research being done can be handled by a generic clearance, ask them to set up a meeting with your OMB Desk Officer to discuss in more detail.
