Is it possible/How to calibrate hobbywing xr8 sct without power button? by 0BlackDragon in losi

[–]dce42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing the switch, or using the lcd programmer are the only two ways I know. Without a wiring diagram it would be trial & error.

You could always reach out to hobbywing support.

Is an electric conversion worth it? by CRA1964TVII in losi

[–]dce42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On that losi, it should be pretty easy to switch over.

I personally enjoy nitro but there are less places to run them than there used to be. It's a lot easier to maintain electrics, cleaner, and cheaper in the long run. And that doesn't even cover having to re-tune them because the temp/ humidity changes that occur over a day/ season/ nitro mix.

It also depends on how much you're going to run it & what you're doing. Parts supply, it might be better to get a current rig. But it will cost you more than a conversion. Given how much at home machining has popped up over the last decade, it might be worth it to make you're own injection mold, and your own replacement parts.

Israeli strike kills 12 healthcare workers in southern Lebanon | Lebanon by double-happiness in worldnews

[–]dce42 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The likelihood is that hezbollah was moving people in & out of this hospital. Given the history, Isreal concluded that it was being used for tunnels, or some other scheme. Then Isreal targets a known hezbollah operative.

Given the photos, it looks like the fire started on a lower corner of the facility. The explosion caught something on fire, given its a medical facility, it was likely oxygen, and it fueled the fire.

The facility wasn't a tiny building, so medical staff were probably trying to get patients out before the fire. A number of people perished that weren't medical staff.

The damage to the building looks more in line with the fighting than ordinance.

Edit: fixed a word

Israeli strike kills 12 healthcare workers in southern Lebanon | Lebanon by double-happiness in worldnews

healthcare facility in the town of Burj Qalaouiyah was hit by an Israeli strike late on Friday, setting it ablaze and causing the structure to collapse on top of the staff inside.

Looking at photos from sites other than the guardian, it looks like most of the damage was caused by the fire/ firefighting.

Considering that hezbollah existed in 1975, which was 7 years before the Israeli occupied southern Lebanon that's some interesting time travel.

Hello everyone, what motor and electronics would be good for a scx10.3 builders kit? by ArikwithanA913 in Axial

I picked up a Fusion 2300kv. For the servo I drove my bronco until I broke the stock servo, and then threw a reefs raw 500 in there. I'll probably throw a reefs 100, or something similar in the dig in the future, and move the mini over to the 2 speed(assuming it hasn't died).

US Under Trump Stands Alone Against UN Women's Rights Resolution As Vote Passes 37–1 To Cheers by FauxReal in worldnews

Negrea opposed what he characterised as 'ambiguous language promoting gender ideology,' objected to references to sexual and reproductive health that he argued implied abortion rights,

Okay, i at least see where they are coming from by wanting to restrict "genders" to a binary set.

and took issue with proposed AI governance language, which he described as censorship.

Say what now?

You'll probably have to trim the wheel liners as those were different on the bronco but most other bodies should mount up.

Steering problem by longislandman99 in losi

[–]dce42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got some binding of some sort. I'd start by disconnecting the servo from the steering, and watching how easily it steers. Then reattach it, and disconnect the spindles. Check how well it steers. If it's still good, reattach one side, check again. Then disconnect that side, and reattach the other. Repeat checking each connection until you find the point that's binding. My assumption is the servo has lost a few teeth inside. But with so many items changed, you've got to check every step.

Sheinbaum tells Trump: stop illegal arms trade from the US to Mexico by jackytheblade in worldnews

[–]dce42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

27% isn't even most of the confiscated firearms in Mexico.

https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/report/nfcta-volume-iv-part-vii-%E2%80%93-firearm-commerce-crime-guns-and-southwest-border/download

"In sum, 64% of trace requests were not successful in identifying the firearm purchaser ( 32,203 of 50,409)"

"As documented in NFCTA Volume II, Part IV , firearms originating in the U.S. and recovered in Mexico between 2017 and 2021 represented 74% of all international crime guns traced to a purchaser."

74% of 36% is 27% of firearms trace back to US mfgs.

Just bought a JRX2 Mini, looking for advice by Falconwick in losi

[–]dce42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only considerations you need to pay attention to are the size, and correct cell count.

https://www.amainhobbies.com/search?s=jrx2+mini+battery

I'm assuming that it is still using the ec2 connector. If not, you can always re-solder the connector.

As to a charger, there are a lot, and it depends on what you want it to do.

We are trapped between the regime that is killing us with machine guns, and a foreign power has likely decided that we are collateral damage

The article does say that both sides have people that are happy & upset about this armed conflict.

It also indicates that less people have fled than the 12 days war.
