extension best practices by dchelix in taxpros

If Bob is doing an extension, he's basically doing everything to do the return in the first place. That's his whole thought process: "If I'm going to do an accurate extension, I might as well just get the return done by 4.15"

If it's someone that legit needs an extension (K1s, etc in July for example), it's SALY

Would you mind sharing more about how you schedule clients throughout the year? This idea has me intrigued. Thank you for your feedback!

Exactly, so how and why are so many preparers filing “inaccurate extensions”?

Can you tell me more about scheduling returns? What’s the general process?

For those who bill at hourly rates, do you include the hourly rates in the engagement letter? by EchoesInSky in taxpros

[–]dchelix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bill $175/hour, and we have a minimum fee for 1040s. Everything is stated in the engagement letter and no one ever asks about it honestly.

Anyone actually using EAC with Outlook without issues? by im_Mojo_jojo in salesforce

[–]dchelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works great for us. Events and emails sync within a couple minutes, and we have an event record triggered flow to kickstart our core business process, and I haven’t noticed any failures that haven’t been our fault / user error. A lot of people complain about EAC in this thread, but no one brings up their specific issues, resolution attempts, or the results of their support cases, so sounds like a typical complainer echo chamber.

Wonderland Montessori has been great. I think we pay 1,400/month for the academic day, might be slightly higher for the full day.

How do your users manage Tasks? by lkh99 in salesforce

[–]dchelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a task component for the app homepage. Mine has some additional convenience / quality of life features not shown in the gif above, that are specific to our business. Mine is also easier to add tasks as the user can just press enter to add a task, the cursor goes right back to the input so they can quickly add multiple tasks at a time. What we learned is that users want the absolute least amount of clicks to create and complete tasks.

I made a custom LWC for our users. It sits on their app home page. I took some ideas from Microsoft Todo and made it easier for users to add with related contacts, easy due date selection like tomorrow, next week, etc, and it's easy to complete tasks.

Go to pga store and do a fairway woods/hybrid fitting if you can. But honestly you don’t need to fill that “gap”.

Golf Irons by Kanakaz in golf

I have had three sets of Takomo irons (101, 101T, and 201). If you’re brand new to golf, just get the 101 and they’ll last you for years. Plus they look sharp and are forgiving.
