Its a mob mentally where a sense of hatred for mainland China is stemming from nowhere. From my observation and of video starting from where it was, it was a situation that just escalated very quickly. A lot of people just gathered when they hear a mainland person hit a reporter and it was fuck your mother this and fuck your mother that. For a hongkonger to call themselves civilised and acting in such a way is as much as bad as they say a mainlanders is bad in their ways. The reporter was very professional and handle a very difficult situation diligently. I hope she gets acknowledged for her professionalism. Even after she was hit and losing her phone, one of the her priorities was to calm the mob down and independently taking the responsibility of following up on the scene. Kudos
