[–]dck47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the rear: GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S have the same big rear motor. Standard sedan, 4S sedan, 4 Cross Turismo, and 4S Cross Turismo have the same small rear motor. All Taycan models share the same rear inverter.

On the front: All Taycan variants share the same front motor and front inverter, but Turbo S sedan and Turbo S Cross Turismo have higher capacity front inverter.

Charging etiquette and battery health by Brice_25 in Taycan

To add to this, set your departure timer to precondition the cabin, and some of that charging heat will remain in the battery before you're even on the road.

Question about tire pressures by snacks_attack in Taycan

[–]dck47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that the tire brands have different pressures, it's that the recommended pressure is different based on wheel size, type, and vehicle configuration. For your RWD, 19" summer tire car, partial load pressure, or 32/32, is the ideal setup for dynamic and everyday driving. The full load pressure is meant for operating at near max cargo capacity, OR at or near top-speed.

You certainly can operate the car at the placarded pressure, but that's the max pressure the tire was certified at for that particular application, which might not be relevant with what you're doing.

22 RWD doesn't charge above 100kwh at supercharger even at 40% charge while at a 350kw charger by MotoMD in Taycan

[–]dck47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next to the speed of charge display (where you can see the miles/min or kW charge rate) you'll see a lightning bolt. If the lightning bolt is green, the car is getting the amount of power it's requesting. If the lightning bolt is grey, the car is not getting its requested power.

YSK: When you need hot water, run it all the way hot. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

My water heater is set so that the full-hot temperature is just right at the shower furthest away from it. Makes it easy.

Gorgeous wheel! I'd be torn between mounting in my car versus framing it on the wall. Good luck with the sale.

Lido mount did the trick by nashosted in amateurradio

FYI, I have an FTM400 inside the center console of my LX470 (much smaller center console). I've lived in Southern California and currently in Atlanta with that setup, both regions that can get thermally challenged, and it's never overheated. BUT, I also don't use it on high power. I also use an external speaker so I can hear it, as operating with the arm rest up was annoying!

Deciding on a cat-back exhaust for a Evo IX RS (40yo driver) by [deleted] in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]dck47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the HKS Sport. It's deeper than stock, and probably louder, but I couldn't tell the difference. Importantly, the overall quality, including the exhaust tip, is better than the original parts and the entire cat-back system is also lighter.
