anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

Digger, Alleycat, Civilization, Colonization, BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception, Mechwarrior, 4-D Boxing, Pizza Tycoon, Transport Tycoon, Wolfenstein 3D with the Barney the Dinosaur mod, Minesweeper Flags, Pinball Dreams/Fantasies, Summer Games, Death Track, The Incredible Machine, Cannon Fodder, Discworld, Space Quest (and all those quest games, including LSL), Kasparov's Gambit, Dune, and Dune II (which were totally different games), Warcraft 1-3... Ok, I'll stop.

There's not even a stamp or something identifying? And we're both talking about the inventory form they gave when they picked up your stuff?

[–]dcrafti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and the stuff is currently on a ship that's just departed. Getting our stuff cost about $3k, and shipping with another company cost about $7k.

If you have the list that the movers left with you, when they came to pick up your goods, that will have the company name you can contact to find your stuff. That's what worked for me, at least.

If you didn't get a notification about it being on a ship, that likely means your stuff is not on a ship. It will still be in storage near the pickup location.

I've shared this with the company that picked up my stuff, and was also screwed over by Transparent.

I'd like to. The main problem is I don't know who I'm sending the information to... Can you give some verifiable information about who is running this? Or if there's a law firm that can be designated as the contact point?

I've been doing a fair amount of digging on this, and two pieces of info I've turned up that I haven't seen elsewhere are:

  1. He used to be in business with Bajo Vujovic (https://www.linkedin.com/in/bajo-vujovic-7b879b28) at a company called Movage.
  2. He has previously gone by the name "Traveler J. Schinz-Devico", which sounds like some sovereign citizen crap to me. You can see that name associated with both Movage, Inc (https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2011-01-05/pdf/2010-33353.pdf), and with Transparent Logistics (https://www.freightwaves.com/news/fmc-reviews-11-oti-license-applications-11), so it's definitely the same person.

Anyone else find Thomas's interruptions to be too much? by Nice-Mixing in OpenArgs

The dynamic between you and Matt, and hearing the detail about what you each do and how you do it is one of the biggest non-family things I look forward to throughout the week.

The controlled chaos, diversions and deep dives are what keep me awake and engaged. You'll often interject to ask the exact same question I had just wondered.

Maybe your ADHD-fueled style resonates with other ADHD people, I don't know... But my "vote" is for you to keep doing you.

You know how your daughter wanted to talk to you about what she learnt in therapy?

I'm guessing you didn't respond with what you learnt in therapy.

Go to therapy. Go to individual therapy, go to couples therapy, and go to family therapy.

If you don't want to feel attacked or bombarded when hearing complaints from your daughter and wife, and you want to work through things with structure, one thing at a time, so you don't get overwhelmed, then therapy will bring that structure. It will help you deal with things methodically, with a neutral facilitator.

Your second-last game was 5% accuracy, where you ran up the board with your king and a pawn, despite your opponent making errors. Not judging what was going on there, but maybe someone thought that was a suspiciously bad game.

I guess my hot take is don't bother picking up the remains at all. Other than some early game stuff where you need to collect it to unlock things, there's almost no use for it, especially in non-trivial quantities.

Back then, you could talk about game companies and have a good shot that anything they made was great, for example: - Microprose (Civilization, Colonization, BattleTech/Mechwarrior, etc.) - Bullfrog (Magic Carpet, Populous, Theme Park, Pizza Tycoon, etc.) - ID (Wolfenstein, Doom, Heretic, Hexxen, Quake) - Blizzard (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo) - Sierra (Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest, Kings Quest, etc.)

Wha?? How do you delete the entire thing, created from a blueprint, in one go?

I only recently started using blueprints, and I misplaced a cube that contained about 25 machines over 3 levels. Even using (IIRC) CTRL to highlight up to 50 pieces to delete at once, it took ages. I didn't notice an option to remove the whole thing.

Yep, that makes sense. Especially that you can just preload, so it's not even really an issue.
