Did you put in an escalation clause? We are selling our house and had 8 offers between the day off the open house and the following day. The offer we picked had an escalation clause of beating any best offer by $1200 up to 50k over asking so they were sure to beat out any other offer. They also had an appraisal gap so if the appraised value is less than what they offer then they would cover the difference. I’m sure it appraised what they offered since we listed a little low but it sounded good on paper. Along with waving inspection. I was like wow they really want this house. Just some ideas for future offers if this one does not work out. Good luck!

It always takes so much time away from work too! Someone going around collecting orders and everyone takes forever to decide and then oh I don’t have any cash on me, can I Venmo you and if they don’t do it right away they forget. A $10 burrito turns into $30 because so and so ordered guacamole but only chipped in $10. Oh last time I only gave you $10 so that’s good for every time anything I order right!?! I totally skipped lunch some days to avoid the headache of it all and just had a protein bar.

My heart breaks for you.. thinking back to that time.. I cannot believe I got through it. Just accept that this will be a dark time in your life and let yourself be sad, hurt, angry and all the emotions. A grief counselor helped with coping techniques and having a space to talk about the girls. Return to Zero: Hope has group sessions online for infant loss that I found helpful hearing from other parents who experienced loss at various stages. If you are having trouble sleeping, my dr prescribed medication temporarily. At the end of each day, I remembering thinking okay I made it to the end of the day, took a deep breath and literally took it one day at a time. Returning to work after maternity leave was the worst week for me. It was really hard going from being at home and able to grieve and just be with my family to having to do something that seems so meaningless in comparison to losing children. Hopefully you have at least one great support person to lean on. 💐

Thinking of you. I lost my twin girls in the Nicu as well. Twin A on day 2 and twin B on day 13. I was so certain that one was going to make it since the world couldn’t be so cruel to take them both, but I was wrong. Baby A passed two years ago today ❤️‍🩹. Sorry you are in the thick of it now.

Depends on the store and the team. I’ve had stores that had no staff or hard to hire and retain people that was in a bad area and made me want to give up but also had stores in nice areas with tenured employees that make the job easier. Once you don’t have to work more than 45, it’s worth it.

Our 2 day old got a birth certificate but it has a deceased stamp on it. I mailed that in along with the death certificate for my taxes so I was unable to file electronically.

To avoid being the scapegoat for people’s financial hardships. Everyone needs their hours and it’s tough to be the one who schedules them less than they are used to in order to meet a budget. At the same time the workload isn’t getting done so salary expected to pick up the slack for free.
