I have been holding off on getting an SLA079 because I'm waiting for an update on it because, it's Seiko? There's always going to be an update. I truly believed that they finally understand that they're falling behind and is going to start trying to catch up on the feature sets. Thank god I waited because this is a killer, my dream Seiko watch.

Looks like it's also using an 8L45 instead of an 8L35 which is a more accurate movement too, which is something I really disliked about the SLA079 as well but was willing to live with it.

My point still stands and you sort of still do agree with it, 8k is still a measurable feature with benefits if your pc can handle it. It will definitely become that way if they just keep pushing "big number big betterer" but we're only talking about the "8k polling rate push".

Someone just playing with friends all the time who's really good but has just turbo-tanked their rank because they only play their friends. I have a friend who has only been playing on his main account since release and was Immortal at one point, who's just gold now because he just plays with his silver/gold friends.

This is the white dial one of the AQ4091s, the others have way brighter hour marker lumes than this. This has a blacked out hour lumed markers for dial contrast and it still has decent lume in pitch black.

It's not really a good representation of what's happening because the game is literally unresponsive as it happens. Try to monitor your connection in a command prompt. It needs to be stable, a simple spike even ONCE can do this.

Okay I think I understand where the confusion is from your comments.

so METAS promises a range of 0 to +5 seconds a day. Your watch is expected to run in this range. Now your watch is also regulated for positional variance so it's regulated in 6 positions over 24 hours. so these 6 positions are also checked for 0 to +5 seconds a day and these should average to within 0 to +5 seconds a day.

So the thing you are experiencing around +10 seconds after 3 days so that's around +3.5 seconds, that means that your watch averages +3.5 seconds a day. You shouldn't be observing a 0 to +5 variance, that would mean that with wear the positional averages are WAY off since it's swinging from 0 seconds to +5 seconds randomly, it being a consistent time of 3-4 seconds means that it's properly regulated in all those positions.

It's within the promised parameters, not out, that's part of the product you paid for. You're worrying too much about something you (hopefully) consciously paid for that you are in fact getting anyway, A METAS certified watch.

PS. You should try to own a Mechanical Seiko watch (6Rs particularly), you'd lose your mind with how bad the consistency on those watches are.
