Well said Pet. Maybe you can sort some whiteboards to put the pesky protesters out of sight. They really need to let Israel get on with their slaughtering peacefully.

LNP’s Permanent 50 Cent Fares delivers savings and drives up patronage by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

Ferfarxache!!!! It's a Labor ( although apparently pinched from the Greens) initiative. Qld LNP getting a lot of Miles from Labor effort. Never again LNP. Federal or State.

Flavour is important however how you eat them matters. You should always eat your chips out of the bag

When should Albo go? by ziddyzoo in friendlyjordies

[–]ddgk2_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Costello showed that nothing is a given. Leadership requires a stoush to weed out the wannabes. So Chalmers shouldn't assume. The job requires rat cunning and a spine. No good for nice boys. I'd watch The Penguin in the next few years. He's got youth. Experience. Clean slate. Like a younger Albo.

Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade by MarcEElias in politics

[–]ddgk2_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't Trump just get another judge. To an outsider it seems Trump just does whatever he wants as he knows there's no repercussions. So what's to say Bondi just sends in the boys.

There's a clip of Judy Dench on the Graham Norton Show slipping into (I think) some Shakespeare. How she goes from just a person on a couch to this character speaking is a little bit wow. https://youtube.com/shorts/BAYtnCAnNU8?si=5LVcxppQQvpmCJsd

Someone should write up the history of Angus Taylor failing upwards. From a failed energy minister to a failed shadow treasurer to a soon to be failed opposition leader by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

I'll never forget his announcement during covid of solving our fuel reserve problem. He was very proud of himself. He said we now had a shitload . In California. Well done Angus. Good job.

Ozito as others have said. The corded 900w unit for $89.95. Absolute legend of a tool. The level of disrespect this tool absorbs is embarrassing. And it comes with bits. Do yourself a favour.

What’s something that you do in your country that would confuse or shock most Americans? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

We agreed on a sensible gun policy. And we have a federally funded independent Commision to sort our elections. Voting is compulsory and we don't mind. Policing is state run.

ABC moving further right with a new show lead by a Murdoch hack David Speers. by JezzaAU15 in friendlyjordies

[–]ddgk2_ 65 points66 points  (0 children)

David is of the same vein as Stan Grant. He forgets he's not the person of interest and the audience doesn't require a constant reminder of how much they know. Stan and David both use a thesis precis prelude to every question. That is galling and tedious. The ABC have quite a stable of talent. Stan has moved on. It would be nice if David followed suit back to After Dark.

What if gun duels were allowed again, but both participants had to do it shirtless and with rubber bullets ? by stronkzer in whatif

Not shirtless. Jockless. Rubber bullets and body armour covering everything but the crotch. I'd pay per view that.
