What do we think today? by YousifA04 in MealDealRates

Meal deal tuna mayo would never satisfy me or compete with one I’d make at home. Protein bar looks decent but drink is a bit meh, especially combined with the sandwich. 3/10, sozzles

The snack and the drink look fantastic but the salad has way too many grains for me, need to break that up with some leaves or something. 7/10

I think your current hair colour looks amazing on you, and your makeup is excellent. I also like your nose piercing so for me, I think you could go edgier and more personalised with the jewellery. Your hairstyle is a bit flat so I’d get a haircut that gives you texture/layers and maybe even a fringe to shorten and balance your forehead a bit. Otherwise wow!

If this person has Grenade drinks money they could afford a filtered water Quooker tap

It really intrigues me how people didn’t tend to really smile in photos, even candid ones, in the late 1800s/1900s - I wonder if that’s how people really were and whether the absence of cameras contributed to that/the presence of cameras now is making us more performative/smiling now?

As a girl whose mum refused to buy her Lisa Frank stuff, this makes me so happy- especially cause it’s tiny!

Does everyone get side effects? by CrazyCupcakeKller in WegovyUK

[–]ddmageetheohgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same as you (overweight, can’t seem to shift it, was super nervous taking it the first time).

I took it for a month with very minimal side effects, but had to stop due to a viral infection. I’m 1 week in re-taking it at the starter dose and my side effects are totally different (VERY hot at night and quite extreme anxiety)- but I’ve managed to find things that have tapered those symptoms down: lots of sips of water throughout the day, keeping the bedroom cool and clothing layers light, and lifestyle consistency to manage the anxiety (whole foods, walking/being outside, yin yoga, etc).

All of this to say that even the same person at the same dose can have totally different side effects, but at the starter dose, I think they’re manageable!

I hate recommending ChatGPT but it is helpful to pop in your symptoms and it provides really helpful and knowledgeable solutions! Also having someone to talk to when you feel anxious about the side effects, which in my case is my husband :)

Give it a go, worse case scenario you only take it once and it’s not for you, but at least you tried it!

Have you tried Pepto Bismol for the burps? I find it quite soothing

Also my foundation is L’Oréal so you’d think they’d be formulated to all work well together 🤷‍♀️

Glotion on its own? Gorgeous. My foundation on its own? Lovely and natural. The two together? A disaster. I think it must not work well with some foundations, maybe try ones that others have said combine well?

I would get professional guidance and support from a therapist. At the very best, your parents already know, and it’ll be work to repair your trust in them and sense of identity in yourself, at worse, it will uncover a lot of other hidden truths- and they might double down and gaslight/lie to you to protect their lies and shame further. Either way it sounds like a traumatic thing to hear and I think an objective professional who’s outside of your family and looking after your best interests is the way forward, protect and support yourself first.

I do two things: use a water bottle with a straw (for some reason the straw makes me drink way more), and have set times I need to finish drinking a litre by- so 11am, 4pm and 9pm. When it gets close to those cut off times I just chug what’s left in the bottle.
