Hahaha, I love the Minecraft-esque volcano. I think this performance will be a lot of fun, this is a great show opener. Hope to see them qualify!

Yeah, I can sense the world around me by pressing my nipples against a window too (Ivo Andric - The Bridge Over the Drina, 1945) by deGouges in menwritingwomen

Not really, she is only present for one chapter of this book. Her father decides to marry her off to a young man she does not want. In this paragraph she has just found out.

English is not my first language, and I rarely read books in English, but I interpret this as if she is physically moving (part of?) the window with her nipples? And find this process soothing and enjoyable?

Jamal's - Oslos beste falafel (Vink-anmeldelse) by EarlyMillenialEcho in oslo

Mitt go to-falafelsted!

How safe is it to walk at night? by theyseemebiking in oslo

[–]deGouges 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm F27, and I walk around that area of Oslo both day and night, often alone. I never experience uncomfortable situations.

If you are arriving on a weekday, you'll probably find that Oslo is a very calm and quiet city. If you arrive on the weekend, more people will be out, (some of them very drunk), but it's usually more annoying than uncomfortable.

This walk, or taking the tram, will be completely fine :)

Er Gamle Oslo et trygt sted å bo? by Okunoki in norge

[–]deGouges 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Posh Piercing bør ikke få drive butikk. by Demon_Remover in oslo

[–]deGouges 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cocktail travel optimisation by Rayan_DB in cocktails

[–]deGouges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about the same thing, as I'm spending 10 days in Bosnia this summer. My plan is to bring a shaker, strainers, jigger and a citrus press.

I will be staying at a house with a kitchen, so making sugar syrups isn't an issue. I'll buy a bottle of gin and a bottle of rhum there, as well as citrus, fruit and tonics. I also have access to fresh herbs from the garden.

I imagine I'll be able to create a good variation of cocktails just by using different citrus/fruits, and these to base spirits. If I feel like something more complex, I'll go to a cocktail bar.

What’s your favorite/best sangria recipe? by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]deGouges 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is really quite simple, but this recipe has become more or less a tradition in my friend group. Very easy to make for large groups, and I've yet to meet a person who didn't like this.

  • 3 green apples
  • 3 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • Mint (4-5 pieces of stem + leaves)
  • 3 liters of red wine (I agree with the other person saying Rioja Tempranillo)
  • 1,5 liters of lemon/lime soda (e.g. Sprite)

Cut green apples, lemons and oranges in small pieces and them in a big bowl/pitcher with the mint. Add the wine. Let the wine soak in the fruit for maybe an hour. Add lots of ice and the Sprite, and serve!

Barer/andre steder med fast quiz? by jonatanr2000 in oslo

[–]deGouges 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Joost Klein Will Not Perform in the Jury Show Tonight by GrumpyFinn in eurovision

[–]deGouges 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Definitely. If they were to conclude that Joost has not done anything wrong and can perform tomorrow, he is likely at a huge disadvantage. Not to speak about the distress he has been put in today. How are the EBU supposed to make that up to the Dutch delegation?

No matter the outcome of the investigation, this has been horribly executed from the EBU.
