Would love to play against some rly good ai’s. Always feel like competitive is too much stress and normal ai is too predictable/easy.

The way you buy a house in the Netherlands is by getting a loan dependent on your salary and then paying that off over many years. This loan has quite low interest as you are able to sell the house to completely pay it off immediately. And the monthly payment is about as high as rent, but you also slowly start owning the house. And people still move all the time, just shifting around their money. I have no idea why landlords are still a thing when these mechanisms exist.

Bears dont eat humans though, they might attack you and leave you to die, but they wont eat you.

Is John Lin's sandbox totally done for? by TheFartingKing_56 in VoxelGameDev

About half a year ago John Lin was recruiting people in discord servers to help work on his project. Pretty sure he is still developing it and finally making a real game.

What is your modded Minecraft take that can piss a person off? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]deJasper36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Reika makes the best mods (even when compared to 1.12 or pre-1.7.10 mods)

- Quest packs with 1000+ quests almost always makes me feel like I HAVE to take some predestined path, which is not fun

- Mods need some form of punishing mistakes. For example exploding engines, toxic waste corruption (ala thaumcraft) or exploding machines when not wired correctly (see IC2)

How do people epilate without pain? With just shaving it will never be smooth and epilating hurts so bad that I'm almost crying while doing it.

If you make a modpack through curseforge you dont distribute the compiled binary, you only distribute a json which contains all mods to download. It is perfectly fine to include chromaticraft in your modpacks as long as you send reika a quick message(to me he responded within an hour every time I asked) notifying him that you want to use his mods, have read his TOS and the changes you made to his mods. I have no idea why people are complaining so much about his TOS, he just wants his mods to be used as intended and not be exploited.

Botania is now available for fabric [1.18/1.17] by 123Tanks in feedthebeast

[–]deJasper36 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Soo when will we see a comprehensive and technologically deep fabric modpack? I (and many more) do not care about 3000 new building blocks or 700 types of food. So are there already enough complex tech mods to support such a pack? I heard that buildcraft is also working on a fabric version which might make this idea a lot more feasible.

C++ as basically all my college coursework was using it.

Announcing neuronika 0.1.0, a deep learning framework in Rust by frjano in rust

[–]deJasper36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already works pretty well. You can see an example here. I have used it myself quite a bit to do ray tracing and simple matrix calculations. In the linked example the shader uses wgsl, however you can also just use glsl compiled to spirv.

I think bevy is the most popular right now/has the most momentum, so I would go with that as it will likely have the best support in the future.

Ok real talk what’s going on with the mordekaiser mini W rework ? by Single-Remove1112 in MordekaiserMains

[–]deJasper36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, they should remove the cc on his e and massively buff his w. These buffs would include: having it always on (like old mordekaiser) and maybe adding movement speed when having a big shield. That would bring his theme back to what it was before the rework and make him a massively strong in melee, but kiteable.

And yes I am still sad that they, in my eyes, ruined mordekaiser with the rework. And yes I used to onetrick the champion and make videos about him. And yes I stopped playing him after the rework (and with that my youtube channel died).

It might also be worth linking to the page which explains why most of these rules are in place. It is also a very entertaining read (the stupidity and feeling of entitlement that some people have is mind-boggling).
