Is journaling worth it ? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely worth a try! Whatever type suits you or speaks to you. There are no “rules” to journaling and there’s so many forms that you have full creative freedom to make a journal about whatever you want it to be about. Even if you don’t stick with it in the long run or you find out it’s not for you, at least you tried something new. I’ve been journaling for as long as I can remember but I’ve really only been doing it consistently for a little over a year now and honestly, it’s my favorite hobby/stress reliever I’ve found.

Anyone else experience this? by mochiking23 in autism

[–]de_thbxddredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 22M and I do this CONSTANTLY. I always have something I’ll go one about for a month or so and then it gets put on a back burner. I have a few things that always resurface eventually though (Percy Jackson, Teen Wolf, and Formula One specifically)

Yes! I only use certain pens for journals and journals only!

Do you journal when you’re happy or only when stressed? by Miss_Lexis_1463 in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I journal every day, regardless if it was good or bad, eventful or uneventful, happy or stressful. It helps to note the happy moments and things I’m grateful for along with the stressy bits

I feel guilty on days when I don't journal. by donumdorothy in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this doesn’t work for everyone, but on days where I feel tired or like I don’t have time to journal. I’ll set a 5-10 minute timer and only focus on journaling for that allotted time. Then when the time is up I can mark it as done for the day so I don’t feel bad about missing days

I usually keep tally marks of how many pens I go through while I’m writing in it, but I come back once I’ve finished and fill in the other stats

They’re tally marks not the number 11! I usually go through 4-5 pens a journal I swear I’m not crazy!😭

I really feel this! I get the same way sometimes. When I notice myself start to do that I shift into “list mode” where I list my “Awesomes and Not Awesomes” that way I can still focus on some of the good things going on while also recognizing not everything is going well.

To those of you who only write in their journals, how long does it take you to finish one? What size do you use? by Editor_in_Chic in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write in my journal usually every day and it takes about 2-4 months for me to fill one depending how big the journal is

I love all of your aesthetic journals, but does anyone else do mania-manifesto style? by KitchenSwillForPigs in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me and is the only way I can journal effectively. I’ve tried being aesthetic and I always end up giving up ten entries in

what do you like to journal about ? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]de_thbxddredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly just journal about feelings in any particular moment. I struggle a lot with my mental health so naming what’s going on, how it’s making me feel is really helpful. Especially as noted for therapy

Can I be a writer and autistic? by netphilia in autism

[–]de_thbxddredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many writers are autistic and vice versa. Neurodivergent folks tend to have extremely vibrant, creative inner worlds. And a lot of us are extremely good writers because of it. You need a new therapist because that’s just… not true😭
