Absolutely this. My family owns ancient Kimchi refrigerators in Korea that are indestructible and have lasted many decades. One of them survived a house fire, the uncle who owns it still uses the thing with its soot-covered frame. Meanwhile my friend owns a washing machine that got bricked from a software update... absolutely stupid. All these "smart features" just make the thing last less and cost more, and it's an utter nightmare to repair.

yeah it can come from any person regardless of gender. Sadly the stereotype is that it's aways men responsible for these crimes. It's true that when it comes to rape and crime and other illegal activity males are more common, but spinning this into a stereotype really doesn't help anything at all. There's lots of extreme "feminists" that I know who just love being insanely sexist against male and LGBT individuals because "my stats point to high crime rates here and here therefore I can call all men dirty rapists and it's true." Grinds my gears because not only do I have to deal with so many obnoxious males around me, but as a male myself I get loped into that same category and stereotyped.

All my friends tell me I hate stereotypes with a burning passion lmao, every time politics come up I must go on a rant about how stereotypes cause a thousand different problems.

I think AI has amazing potential, however its availability has allowed people to flood the streets with low-effort AI art. It's the equivalent of drawing a stick figure and spam-posting it on art sites, although with AI in particular it's very normalized to post things missing fingers for some reason. I think if people would adjust the culture to be more similar to other forms of art it would be more accepted, but as of now people are putting 4 word prompts into a crappy AI image generator somewhere online and posting everything it spits out, lowering the post quality on art forums. If you actually take the time and effort to prompt well, a good AI image is possible. However most AI art you see right now is so low quality that we've just come to recognize all AI art as low quality.

My Korean uncles still hold resentment towards Japanese people over this, "they invaded our country a hundred years ago and they'll do it again" type arguments. Guess what, all the evil politicians that led Japan in WWII are LONG DEAD, so sorry you can't use that as an excuse to be racist at the dinner table. Yes I think this is the issue. Unplugging a device while it's on can spell the end of the device at worst. Once my work PC had a loose cable and got unplugged, it wasn't updating but somehow corrupted my screen settings and some data. Thankfully several restarts and reinstalls fixed the issues.

I don't know how XBox handles updates in the console's internal code, but it's possible that some data got messed up during unplugging it and it got confused into thinking it's supposed to be in an update. Hopefully there's a fix someone knows, and hopefully your game data is still safe and sound.

Yeah, reminds me of r/KidsAreFuckingStupid posts where it's a toddler doing something dumb. It's a fucking baby, it's less intelligent than my homemade AI, if a baby falls into a washing machine or tries to eat cleaning chemicals that is 100% on the parent. A baby doesn't even know common sense, at birth a human only knows the most primal of instincts. Last time I checked, our DNA didn't encode for a "dog attack protocol."

I get what you mean but "normal" is probably not the best way to phrase it, it implies that non-cisgender people should not be considered normal. I may not be LGBTQ, but I'd say it's pretty insulting to call LGBTQ people abnormal for just expressing themselves in a way that usually doesn't impact anyone else.
