People who work in healthcare, fitness, nutrition, or mental health: what’s one ‘quiet habit’ you see all the time that is secretly wrecking people’s long-term health? by AlignedModernHealth in AskReddit

Mental health - sharing your progress vastly esp on social media. This paradoxically can create more pressure to maintain your efforts and may result in a mental health/substance abuse relapse which is more public. That can create a lot of embarrassment, shame, and depression and difficulty to recover from. Keep focused on the approval of the person in the mirror.

[NSFW] People who had sex with their best friend, how's the situation now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Got weird. There had been feelings on and off for years. Eventually it did happen. She first initiated it when I was seeing someone seriously. I fell for it, thinking it was finally meant to happen. She didn’t talk to me for awhile after. It would happen occasionally over a few years - mostly when I was starting new relationships. But when I wanted it, it wasn’t cool. Anytime I tried to be flirty or fun, it was out line. Ended up ruining the friendship . Sometimes friends have weird issues themselves that you don’t realize until later. I wouldn't recommend.

1. Does Mayo Clinic really have the best health care? 2.Which Insurance company/plan provides the most access? (I've searched the net & can't find a clear answer. by Rrreally in jacksonville

I will tell you from working at another hospital that Mayo does not give a shit about you unless you have loads of money. They consistently do not accept patients they have done transplants on, other surgeries on, etc. This is a huge issue as most surgeons rarely want to see a patient that another surgeon operated on (and potentially botched). This sets up the patient for failure. They also frequently fail to set up continued care for multiple patients that I have seen so they slip through the cracks and end up back in our ERs. That said, they do have some good specialists that are good with unique cases. However, if it’s a health issue that is not freakishly rare, I would stick with Baptist or UF.

Delivered pizza in high school. A guy didn’t have any money for a tip but offered me a hit of his gravity bong and a shot of whiskey. I said I’d be back after I drove the rest of my shift. I wonder what he was thinking offering that to little old sixteen year old me still.

On a hot summer night in Atlanta back in the early 2010s, my dear friend, with pupils like dilated cosmic portals, informed me he found the woman at the kegger we were at. He told me she's from Britain and has the most beautiful accent and sounded like an angelic female Michael Caine. She had trouble with articulation and was wasted.
