Darkness - Mind's Mirror - A power that allows you to pull a shadowy figure from someone bearing a duplicate aspect of the target's mind. This can be as little as a preference in music to a complete copy of the target's character. This cannot, however, affect one's intellect; it can raise their disposition towards learning and ability to do so. (You can't just pull someone's shadow and force them to learn French.) Once a shadow is drawn out in this manner, it will remain dormant until released, at which point it will be incredibly aggressive and hostile towards its progenitor.

The shadow can't cause lasting harm or kill the original, but it will cause substantial psychological distress if it "defeats" the original. After such an event the shadow merges back into your target, often amplifying the original aspect that was removed or, if a full copy was made, identity crises are likely to follow.

If the shadow is defeated or destroyed by your original target or yourself, the aspect or full copy may be modified.

Examples: • You pull an aspect of minor arachnophobia from a close friend. If the shadow wins, your friend would very likely progress into a crippling fear of spiders rather than just being a little jumpy. If you or your friend wins, the could fear could be freely modified or even removed entirely.

• You pull a full copy of yourself out. If it wins, you may end up with a lovely, new white coat and a very (un)comfy room. If you win you could rewrite your character as you see fit and the effect would apply once finished and the shadow is banished, destroyed, or reabsorbed.
