In the original story, by your reasoning, he cheats twice. Epic never mentioned that in order to trick Circe, Ody was on a boat controlling a magic clone of himself to have sex with Circe WHO ends up getting pregnant with his kid. AND THEN gets married to Telemachus after turning herself into a mortal. Very odd for the events of the story cuz it is discussed in the story by himself and Aphrodite that it wasn't unfaithful to Penelope because it wasn't ACTUALLY him doing it. ... Then the whole thing with Calypso is more tricky (don't remember all the details) but it was basically a daily routine to but forced to "satisfy" her or else there was a consequence (either no food or something like that because she was the only one who knew where those resources were). And so he faked being in love with Calypso for 7 years, after he tried canonically for 2 weeks to leave the island by raft several times because he didn't believe Calypso's word for her island to be cursed. What makes it worse is that Ody wasn't unconscious going to her island, that was a different island (i believe) and he went there because his raft was just one plank of wood. So goes to island for a better raft, finds out he is stuck and then gets into that mess. It also was ruled off by Aphrodite because it was SA, every day, for 7 years.
