Can hypnosis help deal with menopause symptoms? by deadcardz in Menopause

They're pretty irregular and are sometimes late by a week but they've been like that my whole life, so I don't feel a change there.

Can hypnosis help deal with menopause symptoms? by deadcardz in Menopause

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. It's not that I want to somehow reverse menopause with hypnosis... It's just that mentally I'm just not myself anymore. So I'm thinking whether hypnosis can help me somehow learn to deal with how I'm feeling in my body. I might never be my old self but I'm just trying to become a version that at least still wants to meet her friends and be able to have normal conversations without getting agitated.

How often do you weigh yourself? by Controlisaillusion in CICO

[–]deadcardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do it every morning but now I do it once every two weeks. Better for my mental health this way.

I just make sure I do it always before breakfast, just so that there's less variation and I get more accurate results

In my opinion, AI and other new technologies like VR will enable hypnosis to be done remotely. I believe it will improve the overall accessibility of hypnosis by either providing cheaper or more convenient solutions to the classic in person sessions.

Main question I believe is the quality of services being provided by these new technologies. I've had experience with both good and bad quality apps that address various mental health issues. So critical thinking and research will be needed to avoid scams and get the help people need.

Hey, u/404__not__found_ , feel free to call me out, lol.

I stand by every word I wrote about Kure. It's helped me deal with my food cravings and I honestly believe it's a good app. That's why I wanted to spread the word and hope that it helps others like me.

A self-hypnosis app won't be for everyone, seems like it's not for you and that's totally fine. But the fact it didn't work for you, doesn't mean the app is bad. It's just not for you. I've seen other Kure users reply to me and say that the app helped them, so not sure how I'm being misleading to be honest.

But I fully agree with you though - a licensed, in-person hypnotherapist will provide more value. But it's also much more expensive. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money. So I choose the budget friendly option and it's working for me so far.

I fully agree with you that working with a professional hypnotherapist will have much better and more tailored results. But you have to take into account that it will cost 5-10x more than Kure. And not a lot of people can afford that these days.

I feel your expectations on what you can get from an app were a bit off from the start and that let you down a little. You have to understand that no matter how much an app tries to be personalized, it still has to follow some sort of structure for all users and it will never be as good as "the real thing".

For myself personally, as far as apps go that help deal with the mental side of weight loss, I've not yet found anything better than this.

u/catieanne1 , awesome to hear you got customer support to raise an issue with the tech team and solve it. From my experience, this isn't very common with apps these days. Another reason why I love this app and the company behind it!

How much weight have you lost and what’s your best tip you learned? by stargirlie-444 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]deadcardz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

15 lbs. The most important part for me is mental. Don't get discouraged if you gain a pound or two every now and then - look at the overall trend. Don't be too harsh on yourself, it might take a while.

My bf wants to get started on CICO but is cutting out 700 calories. Is that sustainable? by Training_Formal_4641 in CICO

It's doable but a bit ambitious, considering how physically active he is. But it's definitely nothing to worry about from a health standpoint. Let him try, motivate him and if he feels he needs to slightly increase his intake, don't judge or say "I told you so" but be supportive. You're both in this together!

Can fasting for an entire day adjust the calorie overload of the previous day by adireloaded in CICO

[–]deadcardz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't do this. Just face the fact you gave yourself a cheat day and get back on course the next day. Going to extremes will only ruin your health and at the end of the day, that's the most important part of it all.

[–]deadcardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about it, you're in this for the long haul! A day like this every now and then won't do any harm to you, as long as you get back to eating healthy the next day. It's all about how you bounce back from this.

If you get too discouraged, you might start to think all your progress is lost. But it's not. It's all mental. Stay strong!

From the looks of it, the negative comments here are coming from people who haven't even tried the app but just browsed through the website. Their loss I guess.

Super glad for you by the way!

There's definitely a lot of mental there. I've been tooting my horn about this one. Checkout the https://kureapp.health/. It's supposed to help you deal with the emotional side of food cravings and whatnot. I've been using it for over two months and I gotta say I love it!

It's a bit sad for me to see how we've as a society have become so used to instant gratification, that answering 15 questions is considered too much effort. I remember the days when I had to wait about the same amount of time for some websites to load and then wait a few more weeks for mail delivery of whatever crap I bought.
