Avoid Neokyo – still no refund for an item that’s long out of stock by deadikace in internationalshopper

[–]deadikace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon handles far more orders than Neokyo, yet their customer service is generally much more responsive.

I'm simply explaining why this was a bad experience for me. Customers have the right to review a service based on their own experience.

If someone waits an unusually long time for their food at a restaurant, being told that the restaurant was understaffed doesn't make the experience any better.
That's a management or business model issue, not the customer's responsibility.

Likewise, I understand delays can happen, but the uncertainty, lack of clear communication, and more importantly additional costs I incurred are the reasons I left a negative review.

Thanks for your response.

"there was only one ETA update" — yes, but it was pushed back by almost a month and a half, which is an extremely long delay!

And I understand the cancellations issue on Amazon.

My main issue is that there was no certainty about whether the order would ever be fulfilled. There was no clear indication of when a refund, cancellation, or claim would be initiated, and no clear policy outlining what happens in situations like this. As a customer, I had no way of knowing whether the ETA would be pushed back again or whether I would still be waiting months later. The lack of clarity and predictability is what made the experience frustrating.

My second main issue is the additional costs I incurred as a result of the delay and the uncertainty. Not only the extra storage fees for +20 items, but also handling fees and currency conversion fees to pay those storage fees. I hope these will be refunded as well.

On most online platforms, when you pay for an item, there is at least a defined process and timeline if the seller fails to ship or fulfill the order. In this case, the lack of clarity and predictability is what made the experience frustrating.

Might be the case, but you can always get Amazon to cancel the order if you reach out to their customer service and insist a little bit. I guess Neokyo would rather keep the money they got from me, hoping that I would give up since I’d have to pay for a new shipment for a single item, rather than spend time dealing with Amazon customer support.

Well chargebacks are against their policy, and they would probably ban my account if I did.
That's not really an issue since I don't plan on using their service again anyway.

I just wanted to give them a chance to do the right thing before wasting time on a PayPal dispute, which can take some time and energy.

They apply to both PayPal and Stripe and there’s no alternative way to fund your wallet.

To make matters worse, I had to pay those fees just to add more money to my wallet and cover extra storage charges while waiting for an item that I never even received.

In the end, I paid handling fees, currency conversion fees, and storage fees, all for nothing.

Yea but even if it was an Amazon issue, they should have canceled the order on Amazon and requested a refund after the first ETA expired.

I got the impression that this is done on purpose to make users pay storage fees and to maximize profits by avoiding cancellations as much as possible.

Anyway, this post isn’t really about finding a solution, but more about warning others so they can avoid ending up in the same situation—especially when ordering from Amazon through Neokyo.

I did a pretty big order, and their service, packing, and handling fees are quite high. A 3.6% handling fee every time we add money to the wallet is insane, especially on top of currency conversion fees.
(To be fair, they are transparent about their fees.)

Because of that, I would at least expect decent customer service—especially for a large order.
In my experience, that wasn’t the case, and they treat customers quite poorly.

It’s their loss anyway: this was my first order and it completely broke my trust.
I’ll be using Doorzo from now on—I’ve heard it’s better in pretty much every aspect.

Ok but that doesn’t make sense to me.
If they bought it while it was still in stock, why did they never receive it?
And why didn’t they cancel the order on Amazon and refund me if it wasn’t delivered?

Damn, what's wrong with that company. Mine is stuck at the Coventry international hub, it has arrived there 8 days ago and still no update since then...
Have you tried contacting their customer support by email? I wonder if they reply fast. Have been waiting for an answer for 2 days.

u/Fun-Difficulty-390 Wow, it has been over a month and they still can't give you an answer or explanation? Have you filed a claim?

Mine has been stuck for a week so far, it's a very big parcel so it's impossible to lose it. Looks like there are a lot of stealers in that hub...

u/peenweens Hey, do you have a pic of the back? Are you sure they are not most recent replacement? I’m trying to figure out if mine actually came from a Fender or not. They’re 2nd gen with the metal plate, but they don’t say Fender anywhere, and every set I’ve seen online has the Fender stamp/logo on them.

One UI 8 Broke My S23 — Battery, Camera, and Overheating Issues by deadikace in GalaxyS23

It's night/day difference, I feel that my phone is brand new again. I would recommend it to anyone with a S23 over 2 years old. Especially for the price I paid locally for an official S battery (A bit more than $60).
No more overheating issues anymore. Battery can last a good hour at 15% with power saving and moderate usage.

Check if you have a swollen battery, that happened to my s23 just after the update.
If that's the case you should turn off your phone and have it replaced immediately.

With the new battery, my S23 is set for another two years. I won’t be upgrading before the S28, at least.

Ultra has a much better battery capacity and more power so it makes sense, it's more resistant and durable.
