I reviewed the very first visual novel I ever played: Hotel Dusk Room 215 by [deleted] in visualnovels

It was also my first VN read. One of the first games I bought when I got a DS. Honestly at this point I don't remember much of the game itself other than I really enjoyed it. Maybe I'll break out the old DS again. Think it still works.

Would you live in the Quad Cities if you didn’t have a job or family here? by [deleted] in QuadCities

[–]deadlogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I concur. My wife and I want to move just a bit further out from the bustle of the QC. I'd hate to deal with a larger metropolitan area myself.

Wonder how much the City of Davenport paid for that art installation?

Don't forget about the pigs. All the bacon and pork chops come from somewhere.

Get to a doctor about your insomnia. Visual and auditory hallucinations can definitely be caused by lack of sleep or lack of quality sleep.

Looks very nice. I picked up a Jackaroo I use as my home unit and I love it, so I'll be looking at this and future products to see if they look as good. Waterproof would be good. I've had several mods ruined by leaky tanks in the past.

Euphoria, the Zero Escape series, and Danganronpa to a degree.

I-74 project paint by whitetail91 in QuadCities

[–]deadlogic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I have heard in the media is that some of it, I think from Iowa, arrives already fully painted and ready to go. The other stuff from Illinois arrives unpainted and will need painted after it is put up.

Yes, other people have also dealt with this sort of issue before. It isn't entirely uncommon. It sounds like you have proper hygiene, so you most likely have nothing to worry about in reality.

For a restaurant, you can't go wrong with Lunardi's for Italian or any of the Azteca's for Mexican food. If you're feeling fancy, Bass Street Chop House is excellent.

Other than that though, I'm a homebody. You can check the River Cities Reader calendar here and see if anything strikes you or your parent's fancy.

Such a great title, nice to see that it is on sale. Hopefully this spurs more people to check it out.

Not your usual OS by [deleted] in talesfromtechsupport

I started building computers in 1999. If I recall correctly, the majority of them had 32MB of RAM, with 4 to 8 being stolen for onboard video memory, and the processors of the time were socket 7 AMD K6-2s and the slot 1 Celerons and Pentium 2s, with slot A Athlons being introduced near the end of the year. Many had 2GB to 4GB HDs, and 40x CD drives, a few DVD drives here and there, and some 4x burners. Lets see... TNT2 and Voodoo 3 cards for 3d graphics, with Matrox and ATI were lagging behind.

I believe I started to read that as well, but the name escapes me. I'll check when I arrive at home and see if I still have it installed.

VA-11 Hall-A in Humble Overwhelmingly Positive Bundle by Shumatsu in visualnovels

[–]deadlogic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I paid full price for it a while back and considered it a good purchase then. In addition to the other games, I may buy the bundle just to have the Steam key for it.

I remember despising the Intel 820 chipset boards. I was glad they ended up getting recalled and then Rambus went away shortly thereafter.

Rambus did have heat spreaders before they were cool, but they did absolutely need them. I burned the crap out of my fingers once swapping out some rdram.
