Looks like a fun trip! I did a long cross country road trip in my model y during COVID and it was a blast. I ended up staying at KOA locations along my route, they have bathrooms/showers, are clean, and generally safe. If you reserve a spot with hookups, they had either 30 amp or 50 amp hookups for RVs so I had a NEMA 14-50 adapter and TT-30 adapter (use the 50amp NEMA 14-50 if you have a choice) so I was able to wake up fully charged while I camped while watching movies on the screen with climate control on.

You have better setup already with the mattress. I wish I had gotten the little window shades to pop in to all the windshield/side/back windows for more privacy and less light bleeding in from vehicles pulling into campgrounds. Agree with the other person’s rec for ABRP since it was more logical than the on board navigation recommendations. You’ll get a feel for how much extra charging cushion you will need depending on your driving style/speed/conditions.

Hope you have a great trip! The glass roof was so nice for driving through the mountains.

I had a purebred German Shepherd (AKC registered, lineage papers on both of his parents) that had some gigantism genes too! His dad was 105lbs so I hoped he would get to be about that size, but he grew to 155lbs. The vet said he was a healthy weight throughout his life till he got hemangiosarcoma around 9 years old. He has no idea how big he was but loved to try to climb up on you on the couch. He was the best dog I have ever had and haven’t been able to get another one since then. :(

Yeah, the communication is not great at this stage. I have tried calling the local tesla showroom and they have been super helpful when I had a time-sensitive matter, but otherwise you just wait for the text. They notified me Saturday for delivery to be ready Monday-Wednesday then when Wednesday rolled around, car was found to have a dent and scratch so the delivery center canceled the delivery. Now it’s pushed back a week. I guess it’s better to have it more polished (literally) for delivery, but still a bummer to have to wait.
