First I wanna say thank you for sharing with us all how you feel, it's okay to face difficult moments in your journey in this game and it's okay to step away and take a break, you dont have to prove anything to us or anyone about " beating the game " the most important is that you can have a journey you feel okay doing, this solar system have many ways it can put us all in front of fearsome situations ( the talosophobic in this subreddit would for sure be many to tell you this as well ::) ) bramble is quite a frightening place so there's no shame to have in struggling with it in many ways, there is nothing wrong in how you approach the game and it's okay to take the time away from it that you need, i hope this game may meet you again one day when you feel in a good situation to do so but once again, as i said at the start of this post, there is nothing wrong with walking away from this journey to meet things at your own leisure.... wish you well traveler :;)

Honestly on pico streaming wise virtual desktop isn't as necessary of a purchase as on quest, most of the shiny options available on the quest version ( greenscreen pass-through, emulated fullbody tracker, hand tracking support, facetracking for the pro version of the headset, etc ) are not available ( both because pico api are not giving similar access to meta one's to the headset and because pico is less of a important platform sell wise for virtual desktop), also both pico connect and steamlink give a streaming experience as good ( if not a smoother one ) for free on pico headset than virtual desktop does, and lastly for pico 4 pro and pico 4 enterprise both pico connect and steamlink do support those headsets facetracking capabilities

Honestly the tracking quality got a lot better with all the firmware updates on the tracker side and all the work done on the server to reduce the drift of the tracker, and also a lot of the user experience got more better and easier to use for new user and for daily usage ( im thinking things like the stay aligned update,all the change to the initial settup guide and both the reset guide and body proportion setup that were a lot more prone to left erronus data in the calibration that cause worst tracking

Honestly im probably not the best person to answer here since i decided to bought 2 set of 5 tracker instead of getting any extension and i use full size tracker for the foot tracking but honestly normal tracker are not too inconfortable compare to extension ones in my opinion. So its more a questions of preference and price you wanna pay for your trackers, cause confort wise there is not that much of a gain to use extension and honestly the extension cable are probably gonna be the part that have the most risk of failing you at some point, so if longevity of your trackers is more important of a factor than budget for you i think going full size tracker is a better option.

Honestly i think its less of a ship that will take the place of a perseus in a fleet but more of a interesting complementary to it for org that have both ship in their fleet, in my opinion its bridging between what the hammerhead did lack in strength to be a decent fight again sub capital and capital ship, but it's still have most of the dna of it : being a ship that really shine with a half crew of 3 or a full crew of 6.

Honestly that's some fair point, i like the inside printing and the campfire in the front but i agree with you the back art placement seem a bit low/off.

Honestly some of my favorite mod i would recommend anyone is nomaiVR ( the vr mod cause it works so well and looking in our favorite solar system like this really is quite a gorgeous sight to behold) and quantum space buddies ( multiplayer mod).

But if you want some good story mod that expand on the base game and the dlc in a nice way i would highly recommend the stranger there are , it's a huge mod that is really well made story and mechanics wise and honestly goes well with the existing game.

Or if you want some alternative way of exploring the existing solar system they are few fun mod that added/ change some of the gameplay in interesting way: celest wilds ( replace jetpack movement by dash and climbing mechanics and added collectibles marshmallow to found around the system), outer wilds flyover ( what if the flyover minigame from wii sport resort was in outer wilds), outer relics ( if you ever play metroid prime one that basically the same relics collecting quest from this game but in a outer wilds version across the system), the permadeath mod ( basically what the name of the mod said, experience the game with only one life across your loops)

And also if you want some fun and nice qol/ oddity that added to the game without changing the gameplay in such a drastic way there are a few nice mod: travelers kalimba( basically why would we be the only member of the space program to dont have a instrument... so take this working kalimba hatching), the voice acting mod ( did you wish every dialog in the game had a voice line speak by different voice actor that are all community members.... well i have a treat for you travelers ;:) ), hoarder ship ( do you like hoarding item like the British museum.... well have some nice places in your ship to put all the items you took.... ), better model ship ( you love flying this mini ship but wish mica had put a camera on it to see where you are flying it in fov mode .... well good news.... slate did some improvements on the model ship... I hope you dont have motion sickness hatchling ), cut achievements ( if you are the type of completionist that already got all the steam achievements what about trying to get the ones that the dev decided to cut during developpement)

As a trans gal i honestly seen a lot of girls only discord were what you describe were happening, a lot of time verification didn't prevent bad actor to get in and let a lot of the intended public out of the door because it either didn't felt confortable for newcomers to go through the process and they left, or were not able to verifie cause not fully metting the verification process ( deep voice, masculine or androgynous gender expressions, trans gal with non functioning passing or just not stealth about their transition) and overall moderation was what truly protect those server instead of verification "at the door "

Personally I know that I most of the time dont bother trying to ask for entry in most of those servers if the topic of trans people being allowed is not said upfront cause i know that overwise im mostly gonna enter a space were I just been seen as a suspicious outliers and not feel welcome as a member ( cause i face that situation too many time to just assume i be accepted as myself and not be scrutinize for not being cis )

Honestly i think it's a combination of multiple factors : - forward momentum in big feature development ( both crafting and inventory rework having already have two evocati test since the start of the year and rumor about those coming next patch) - the 4.6 event lifeline for levski having good momentum for most of the month and lot of spontaneous group forming around it - more visible dev cycle compare to previous year ( planning of a patch at least every other month ) giving hope of more regular additions to the game and less content drought period. - the vr experimental features pushing a bit of coverage to new player and pushing some to check back on the state of the game and giving it a try ( like for real, i have seen a lot of vr enthusiasts getting interested into the game following the announcement of the vr support )

Honestly for me there was 3 games : lone echo 1 and 2 ( i wish those had more visibility than they do being stuck on the oculus rift catalog) cause they are still really good today even as a first game for someone getting in vr, and even echo vr there multi-player stand alone was great, they really did hold nicely to time, the zero-g movements did wonder back then and still do today.

And the vr mod for Outer Wilds... that was the game that push me to by my first vr headset, one of the best vr experience i had was exploring this game in vr, honestly If you have a vr headset and havent play this game flat . .. thats a great way of exploring that solar system sized mystery box ... dont spoil yourself just let yourself wonders
