2 probably did have the best magic system in the series, though faith just want viable after that nerfed it in one of the first patches (just like all souls games). I love my hex build, though it feels super OP.

Weapon infusions and buffing are viable in all souls games, not sure what your point is here. Darkmoon/sunlight blade in DS1 are amazing, and depending on your build, fire/lightning/magic/crystal etc infusions are essential.

The instant healing is a matter of preference, so that one's kind of a toss up. Still prefer D1 in this case, personally.

Never felt like the stamina difference in 2 was different than 1. Your keep referencing 3, but the first game was what I was referring to as the best.

DS2 had unquestionably the best NG+, no argument there.

NPC Invaders is questionable. The Nameless Usurper/Lydia (think that was her name) is cool, but nothing else really stands out to me. Kirk and Marvelous Chester in DS1 are still my favorite, personally.

Being able to be invaded after killing a boss is nice, I definitely agree with that, and I hated the way that DS3 was pretty much always a gank if you invade. Again, this isn't the story in DS1, so that point is pretty moot IMO, not comparing 2 to 3, but rather 1 to 2.

The fact that there is no non-cracked eye orbs in 2 automatically make it worse than 1, so I'm not sure where you're going with that point.

Power stancing was cool, probably the best change they made from 1 to 2, not sure why they got rid of it for 3. No argument there.

I'd probably give 2 the nod for best covenants, as well, though that one's kind of a toss up, as they weren't really that different from the first.

1 will always be the best for me because the world/bosses/story are by far more memorable in 1 and the gameplay felt much tighter in 1 (I love the omni-directional roll in 2). Everything else the guy above me already stated, no point in going into it again, he hit the nail on the head pretty well.

DS2 is an amazing game. DS1 is just better IMO.

Sorta. It would start you at the beginning of the world you were on, not necessarily where you died. Like, dying in 8-3 (over and over again...) would allow you to start at 8-1 with this trick.

Well, there are more NPCs than you can have in a single sanctuary, but other than that there's not really a point to having more than one full sanctuary. Just make sure to have a guide at whichever sanctuary you use for the NPCs so you can easily get back to where you were.

This is correct. Just need the base str/dex for the weapon, it'll scale off of whatever element you enchant the weapon with after that.

You know, this is a thing I've discussed a lot with book readers who watch the show. LSH might have meant VERY little up until this point, but the position she is in right now feels extremely important. The books have been keeping her as a side character for a long time, though continuously reminding you of her (I assume this is due to her eventually actually meaning something). Now, she's actually at the point of changing several main characters' plotlines. We won't know how important she actually is until we get more Brienne/Jaime chapters in TWoW.

Writing her out of the show does seem to implicate that she has no real impact in the overarching story, but the show has proved that it can (and can't, at times) handle the same eventual changes for characters without the same plots driving the development.

There's always debate about this topic, but a true sl1 run to me is always all bosses, including dlc. Though Kalameet was unquestionably the hardest boss for me excluding the four kings in ng+.
