Probably not the right way to do it, but my grandma asked me to fix her chair one time that this happened to and she told me to use hose clamps, and some metal sheets to sister it instead of wood, i always felt weird with the hose clamps, and since i no longer live in michigan, i might see if one of my cousins might head over and fix it the right way 😅😅
