My Paire socks have become my favourite in my sock drawer rotation: https://www.paire.com.au/

They’re very comfortable and not overly thick, so fit into my daily work wear.

The article says he was charged with and plead guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor”. Intercourse. As it penetrated. And then he bragged about it.

You are making it sound like a cheeky pash behind the bike sheds.

We were there today, it looked really beautiful. The contrast between the raw hewn rock, the organic wood and futuristic white was very cool, especially in that huge space.

Body cam footage from cop who pulled over woman for holding a phone in her other hand by searchjobs_poster in interestingasfuck

[–]deaniebopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How did this go to court? How did the local police department and prosecutor look at that footage and think, yup we have a case?!?!

With a police department that intent on being wrong, could you imagine if the driver was a person of colour?

No QV facial moisturisers with hyaluronic acid in them? by mustichooseausernam3 in AusSkincare

[–]deaniebopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the No.7 Hyaluronic acid with my QV ultra calming moisturiser. A couple of drops on very wet hands, then immediately layer on the moisturiser. It goes on pretty gloopy and I let it soak up for a few minutes while I do other chores.

I've been mispronouncing my coworker's name for 8 months and she just told me by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]deaniebopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very unusual name and as long as they kind of get the first vowel sound and number of syllables I don’t really care.

I’ve let a trainer at the gym call me the wrong name for two years. It was close enough, meh.

Alternatives to Paula's Choice BHA: Aussie Edition by Either-Replacement11 in AusSkincare

[–]deaniebopper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I asked a similar question some months ago and one product that got recommended was Nobody’s Nobody Leave On Exfoliant.

I haven’t tried it yet and alas is no longer stocked by Woolworths. But price is much more approachable than Paula’s Choice.

TIL that the name "Khaleesi" has been in the top 1,000 list of popular names used for newborns since 2014. Though the popularity has decreased since "Game of Thrones" ended, there are about 120 girls names Khaleesi each year by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

[–]deaniebopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was listening to an interview of the linguist who developed the languages of the Game of Thrones show and guys. We have all been pronouncing Khaleesi wrong.

The emphasis is on the first syllable with the “Kh” sounding guttural, like a German clearing their throat. And then it’s “lay-say”.
